Silk Peptide Powder - 100g

I have been using this brand in my handmade creams for over 6 years. When I formulated my now signature cream, I ordered this brand. Some reviews discuss an odor, all silk has a distinctive smell. It doesnt come through, at least in my experience, in the final product. So, here we are years later, still using & LOVING how silky it makes skin in my creams. Thank you Mystic Moments, your product is amazing!! Thank you too for selling it on Amazon...at this point I would order from the UK if you didn't because I won't try any other brand!

I used this in my home made cream and it made my skin feel so silky. Today I used the same cream as pre-shampoo for the first time and I'm so impressed by the result. It works so much better than whipped butter (without water and silk peptide solution). Hair is not greasy, 0 weigh down, wavy yet no flyaways. And, it's so shiny! I will buy again once I run out. I probably will use my cream as pre-poo everyday for a while since it is damaged from being over processed.

I bought this for use in my homemade leave in conditioner. Works great, though I’ve never used any other brand of silk so I can’t speak on its legitimacy. But I think it’s good quality because it really added strength and smoothness and shine that I don’t normally achieve from that same recipe without it. Would recommend!

The bag looked worn and old, the text was hard to read. The product smells old and stale. I used in lotion and didn’t notice any “silkiness”. I then put the silk powder in a small amount of water and felt it with my fingers, not silky. I rubbed this mixture into my hands and not only was it not silky, it had a drying effect.

This product is fantastic! I use it in cold process soap, bath bombs and lotion. It blends so well, with little effort and really gives a nice smooth feel to my products!I will order again, I'm already starting to get low. Only a small amount is necessary, which makes it even better!

I've added this to DIY body butters - it gives a nice slip and feel. I will continue to use it!

First off: it does smell weird...can't describe it really...maybe akin to a strong grain smell. That being said, I have used it in a variety of lotions, scrubs, and body butters (which I make in a bunch of different scent profiles) and it is A-OK. The "funky" smell disappears, but the consistency of the products is greatly enhanced by the use of the silk peptides. All my "giftees" love how luxurious and silky their lotions feel.
