Light up your plate
I was impressed with the brightness of this light. Other than lighting up your license plate, I noticed how much light is casted on the surrounding area behind my truck. A good safety against hitting that trailer hitch in the dark. With these license plate lights they come in about 8 different colors and they do cast light in a wide area. I went ahead little bit crazy on my truck, as I said I installed the white light on the rear of the truck so I decided to install 1 to the front license plate but in Amber to go with the other marker light that is in front. At night I believe that this Amber light puts out the same brightness but with color. Update as of 07/08/25: I did notice that when I installed the AMBER license plate light on the front of my truck, it casted much more light out front and on the ground. This was because the rear light obviously has a bumper under it. If wondering how much forward light it casts I actually measured it and the rear as well. There rear was measured from the shadow of the rear bumper out was 4' and if the bumper wasn't there it would be 5.5' because that's what I got in front of the truck. It's not a over bearing light, probably like a very bright night light in a bathroom brightness. It seemed to reach out further when out where there is no street lights or such around. 04/25/2026 Update: Well, the rear license plate light unfortunately is going to be replaced with a new light because this 1 didn't last as long as it was rated for. All led lights are rated for 5 years or 50,000 hours (that 50,000 hours is based on continuous usage). Well I can say this is that I haven't had them on that long. The amber 1 up front is still going strong and bright. I did have 2 backups 1 white and 1 amber and I wasn't sure which one would go first. I figured that it would be the front light only for the fact that I could've hit a small animal because I do live in the country and that is possible but the rear went first. So I may use my amber backup instead of the white light. Will I buy these again, yes I would. Unfortunately some of these led lights are only tested for how long they should work but as far as I imagine they don't test them on actual usage such as trucks or off road vehicles that get knocked around during use. Up until this week, I had no issues with them so I will be ordering another backup after I change out the rear 1.

Super bright light
Great light and it is super bright with a straight forward install. Unscrew your tag and screw it on in front of the tag. The only draw back to this light is the wires are very thin. The were so small my wire stripers didn't have a gauge hole small enough to stripe the wires, so I had to use a razor knife. The light performs great and is super bright.

Super bright
Super bright but wish the wires were thicker. They break easily

Super bright
Led is super bright and the fit was great. I did have to cut factory plug off and wire it but just a power and ground. It's a solid product for sure. Just be know it's not a plug and play you will have to do alitte wiring.

Lower cost reliable replacement license plate illuminator.
This works great and is cheaper than a factory replacement. I wired it up so it would plug in just like the original did. The original one got rusted out and caused me to get pulled over more than twice. The light kept going out.

May not last that long.
Only Lasted a year, then started flickering. So for the few dollars got my money out of it. Now looking for something that will hopefully last longer than a year. When it did work, worked great, nice and bright, almost too bright for my back up camara. Mounting was pretty simple and matched up to the tag holes with no issues. 3 stars for the fact of only lasting a year.

Good quality, good price
Bright. Universal fit. Needs to be wired into existing trailer wires which isnโt too hard if your plate is near a rear or marker light. If you wire it to a combination brake/turn light, make sure you get the running light wires, not the brake/turn wires or it will flash. Not sure if it would handle extra power well.
