This is a great quality vitamin C for the price. I take 2000 mg daily so I love the 1000 doses. The pills are super easy to swallow with no taste or smell. No side effects for me. This was my first experience with this brand. The tablets were larger than expected, and it took 4 hours for one tablet to dissolve in 16oz of water with near constant stirring. That could be because they are supposed to time release. I like putting my vitamin c in my water and drink it. So I expected them to dissolve much faster. I didn't realize they were time release til after I received them. The taste is more mild than other vitamin c. Felt no side effects other than feeling better. I have a cold and bumping up my vitamin c intake helps get me well faster.

Starting over 40 years ago, my research into vitamins and the vitamin market left my head spinning like Linda Blair in the Exorcist and concluded with my opinion that the Vitamin market, overall, is a scam of epic proportions. There are some basic vitamins, if you hit the lottery and find a company that has interest in providing quality products, but by far this company is no doubt swallowed up by the greedy needs of those looking to make a buck. Stay away from fads and miracle bark, seeds, etc. 40 years ago, I realized you can spend a fortune on hyped nonsense. Avoid that. 40 years later, I use 2 things, vitamin C and folic acid. I'm a 67yo, 6' 195, healthy male. I eat one ingredient foods and other than congenital heart problems, I work out daily and do standing ab workout stuff, reps with 3 lb neoprene weights. So yeah, I'm moving up from 500mg to 1k and thought, I'll check into rose hips. Either way, this is a good deal on 1k, 250.
