Depraved: A Dark MC Romance (American Street Kings Book 1) Kindle Edition

Bella J is a really good writer, and her books always have hot chemistry and really hot sex scenes. However, she frequently includes graphic rape in her story lines. In this series, one of the main female characters is tortured and raped in the worst ways you could imagine and it’s described in graphic detail. I think Bella J goes to that extreme to delve into the physical and psychological recovery after severe trauma. She has done this in 2 other series as well. For a lot of us, it can be really hard to handle. If you’re not up for the excruciating depiction of evil against women, this author is not for you. But if you can handle the severe highs and lows of a literary rollercoaster, then you’ll probably be fine.

Okay, so first a warning. If you like hearts and flowers in your romances, this book is not for you. Two people with issues, some of the mind and others of the body, see each other. Grantite is a man who grew up hard and needs war. Alyx is a tortured princess who always dreamed that the man who she stared at through her window would come and take her away. Then he does, and she wishes to hell he didn't. I really enjoyed the darkness in this book because it made it unique and worthwhile. I just personally dislike cliffhangers that means I have to buy the second book to end the story.

Dark, gritty, twisted, and addictive.Let me start off by saying that once you dive into the world of the American Street Kings, you won’t want to do anything else but read, read, and read. Believe me, I just binged on the first two books and have book 3 and 4 waiting for me in my Kindle.Depraved starts Granite and Alyx’s intense romance which continues and ends in book 2, Defiant. And let me tell you, those titles are SO fitting it’s not even funny. Well played, Bella. (The other books follow other club members.)Granite is not a man that walks on the side of the law, not by any means, and he’s the type that does what needs done regardless of the consequences. But he is also the kind of man that loves fiercely and protects his family just as much.As I read Depraved, I had SO many questions. And I craved answers badly. But somehow, I knew and deeply trusted that everything that was happening, everything Granite was doing, was for a damn good reason.But then, that ending happened and I about died. So I devoured book 2 immediately the same day I finished this one.Suffice it to say, I give FIVE STARS to Depraved and consider it one of my 2019 TOP FAVES.Go get your copy!

Parts of the story were well written and exciting. Spicy sex scenes and gripping action. But there was also a lot of repeated dialogue that felt like poor editing, and I couldn’t help but feel like the “alpha” hero wasn’t much of an alpha whatsoever! The rival gang leader constantly got one over on him and was one step ahead throughout the entire story. I thought that maybe there would be redemption at the end and he would finally take them down, but no. For this notorious King that ruled the town, he seemed to have no idea what he was doing! In the end I did not find him very attractive which soured the storyline. Other series from this author are fire, but this one didn’t hit the mark for me.

Granite is the President of the American Street Kings MC. and he is scary hot and sexy. Alyx is the innocent and overprotected ballerina - the object of his obsession. There is an intensity to this story that drew me in right from the beginning. I couldn't tell where I was being led, I just knew that I couldn't wait to get there. There are surprises and revelations in this story that had me believing I had it all figured out, I was wrong and I couldn't be more happy about that. I love a good story! The layers to this one peel like an onion and left me breathless on more than one occasion. Granite has planned to make Alyx his for some time, the story reveals, and she is totally taken(remember this word) by surprise when he put this plan into effect. There is major MC drama, i.e. blood, guts and tragedy! I was reeling - wow! The club has some hotties I want to read more about also, Onyx, Granite's brother, Dutch, Ink, Manic - you gotta love the names! The evil bad guy in this story is scary crazy and I can't wait until he is dealt with. Just when Granite and Alyx get together in a totally hot and sexy scene, the story takes a jaw dropping turn. This riveting story continues in the next book, Defiant - ARRRGH! Love this book, please hurry Bella J with the next one!!

The MC king and his ballerina!Granite was obsessed with Alyx from the first time he saw her starting out her bedroom window at him. He has found the 'perfect' opportunity I have her and also get revenge for his club. This story is gritty and raw in some instances. A look at how a MC works and how obsession plays out. It is well written, the characters very interesting. Little snippets give you ideas of how the main characters minds are affected by their pasts and present. As this is book one, I can wait to see how the rest of this story plays out.Reasons I enjoyed this book:Action-packed, Entertaining, Twisted, Unpredictable, Interesting characters

This book has everything, heart ache, sorrow, love, sadness, made me cry, can’t wait to start the next book, I would give this book 5plus stars if I could, Bella J. You rock!

I wish I had know it was a cliffhanger before buying it.

I was expecting really dark moments in this story but found it wasn't that bad. I have read a lot of books about MC's with much darker aspects so this was just verging on dark. It was a fantastic read though. Took a bit to get into and seemed to go over the same things a lot, but once the story started for real it was awesome. I can't wait to see how the characters grow. I dont think Granite is as bad as he makes himself out to be, I think he just wants to be loved for who he is. Definitely worth a read.I'm going to start the second one now.

If you like dark MC romances that are well written and have great characters then this one's for you. Ends in cliffhanger.

▪ I was his obsession... and not even death would be able to change that. ▪This one was dark, twisted, somewhat questionable but I needed to keep reading for that redemption. Gotta love a book that doesn't has one of those standard endings, but even gets more twisted. 😈Oooh yes, this one was a special one. That's for sure! Why did I liked it so much? There is so much wrong with what happens in the book but at the same time you are cheering it on because in books it can happen all and you are not even suprised. Yup, start reading this dark bad boy because you need it.Ooh & that redemption? Man, that is going to take some work.🫣 •

Very well written, the story is very twisted but so much like real life. The characters are ruthless and strong. Easy to fall for the characters. Many changes in the story that makes it unpredictable which I totally love. What you expect happens until certain aspect but many things change the story line of what you would expect which makes it brilliant executed. Massive cliff hanger cant wait to start book two. In this first book you love and hate the main character and your heart will feel for others.
