Just what our family needed!
We have only had this lock for a few days- but so far so good! Will update if any problems arise. This lock is just what we needed! As a busy family with kids who are constantly coming and going from activities, it is inevitable that someone forgets their key. This lock makes this problem go away! No more frantic “‘Ma, I’m locked out!” calls. We decided to go with an old-school mechanical (no battery, no app, not digital) version bec it takes away the headache of low battery or the app not working (heard lots of stories of malfunctions from friends and relatives). This one does the job, was budget friendly, and seems to be nice and sturdy.I (pretty handy 30sF) installed the lock myself (with “help” from my 6yr old) in about 15 minutes. I found the video more helpful than the written instructions.Pros- seems very sturdy, easy to install, no worries of battery failure or technical glitches, budget friendly. The numbers/letters are nice and clear, easy to enter the code, smooth operation.Cons-you can change the combination, but it’s a bit of a hassle as you would have to unscrew it from the door and adjust the tumblers manually. If you need this for a Airbnb or guest house that you want to change the code frequently- this is probably not for you. For our residence, it works just fine as we will not be changing the code on a daily/weekly basis. The lock is a deadbolt. It is not like a regular doorknob mechanism. So when you close the door without locking it, it doesn’t “catch”. The door will stay closed, but not latched, so if you push on it, it will open. Our door is heavy and it stays closed (again, unless someone shoves it) and we usually keep our door locked anyway, so this worked fine for our needs. The knob on the interior side is not like shaped like a regular doorknob (see pics). This is not really a con, it’s just not what you would expect so some people might not like the aesthetic. All in all, very happy with this purchase.

Easy enough for a kid to use
It does as it is supposed to do. It saves a lot of time by not having to find keys. I’ve not had any problems and it’s nice not having any kind of batteries to change, or worry about going dead and getting locked out.

The lock works good
This key and code door lock works good and is well built. I previously had a code door lock that used an app and it was a super pain. That lock would fail at times and it was rolling the dice if you could get into the house. Nope. Ditched it for something that doesn't use an app or a battery. This may be Stone Age technology but you don't have to worry about getting into your house and no batteries is a big plus in my book. The installation wasn't hard but the bolt that goes into the door frame's hole is deeper than other door locks I have had so took some boring with a drill bit into the door frame to get it to go into it and equally the shaft that goes into the door was bigger and deeper too so took more boring into the door to get it to go fit. The code was simple to do, just put in the numbers you want using the small metal blocks and take the other metal blocks out. Looked like a brass type of metal that forms your code and is different than the other metal blocks so it is important to make sure you keep the extra blocks in a place that won't get discarded away. To lock, just turn the outside knob all the way to the left and it will lock and then push your code and turn the knob to the right to open. Inside the knob is elliptical and you turn it to the left to open and to the right to lock. I like this lock and the fact of no more Russian Roulette if the thing will open or not means so much to me.No more locks for me that need an app or WiFi to work, or needs batteries. This lock is simple and direct. What are the cons? I wished I could keep the door closed when the lock is opened but it is either locked, it will keep the door closed, or unlocked and your door will come open, nothing stopping it from staying closed. The bolt that goes into the door frame is either totally into the frame or totally inside the door. The other con is I have big hands and the outside knob is small and close to the metal numbered blocks that stick out some so I will hit my knuckles on the numbered blocks if I am not careful and it smarts. I wished they made the outside knob bigger or at least make it go further out from the numbered blocks. I also would have liked a normal inside door knob rather than the elliptical knob, but it isn't a deal breaker to me on that but rather a preference.Overall though, you can't go wrong with this door lock and if you are like me and don't want to take a chance on if you can get into your house with an app or batteries, this is a no brainer!

Slightly odd function, but work great.
Use these at the beach house for our owners closets so we don’t forget the keys. They’re a little odd at first but work well and are very secure.

Best value overall
Ive purchased and installed several key code pad locks over the years. This one was the easiest one to install. It also is the most well made. Great price too!

It is too hard to open
I installed it for the cleaning supply closet in my 2 airbnbs but it is too hard to open, only the installer can open it because he knows how hard it is to open it, I will never buy again.
