I was suspicious at first but I needed to drill a .030 hole in brass. Worked very well, seemed strong even for being small.

These drill bits are perfect for carburetor jet work. Being a machinist for over 35 years the tolerance of each drill is dead nuts, as marked in drill bit holder case. I used a micrometer to measure each one. I got these because I needed the smallest one to clean out the fuel jet on a lawnmower and it worked perfectly. All the drills are captured by the dome and additionally have a rubber ban so they don't all fall out when you try to take out just 1.

Need tweezer to pull out. Drills almost impossible to get our without spilling. Open over a tray so you don't loose them forever. As they spill. Bits are too close together.

I use these as gauges to clear and verify carb jets. They work great.

Make sure you secure the cover on these bits with tape or something because the cover came off and most of the bits spilled out onto the floor and they are so thin they are almost impossible to see. You will need a magnifying glass!!! Still haven’t found about 4 or 5 bits and if they fell out on a carpet forget ever finding them.

I use these for building model cars. I needed a small bit to drill out a distributor cap for spark plug wires. These bits were perfect! All 8 holes drilled, no problems. Highly recommend for plastic model building.

Outside of the drill bits themselves, the most important part of this drill set is the case these tiny bits come in.At first glance, you might think the drill bit holder's clear cap has stepped accommodations to slip over the ends of the bits to hold them more securely in their correct base positions. You would be wrong. Only the two smallest bits have small dimples that capture the tips of the bits. The rest of the steps are just solid blanks offering little security in keeping the bits in proper sequence. I suspect at one time these steps actually functioned, but running production changes (the bits being made shorter ...as in cheaper) made the steps worthless . Treat the case carefully; always keep it upright and park it someplace where it's not going to get knocked about. The bits are shipped with a rubber band stretched around the bases of the bits, holding them in place to withstand the rigors of shipping and showing how little faith the manufacturer has in the ability of the case to retain the bits.I bought these bits as wire gauges to check carb jets so using them as drill bits will not be in the game plan. I suspect their durability will be sufficient for my purposes. I have no idea as to their accuracy; I would need to put a micrometer to them for that. For my use, the drill bits cover a wide range of jet sizes for the small engines i will be tuning.

Good quality, keep the provided elastic around the drill bits, and the lid, it keeps them held in.

Absolutely want I needed for making holes in turrets or machines gun barrels when building plastic models. Be very careful with the smaller bits as they are fragile.
