This has worked out beautifully! I didn't have the height needed in my fridge to get a filtered water pitcher so this slim 5 cup tumbler fits perfect on the door. It refills quickly to always insure I have cold water on hand to drink.

I have had both Brita (several models over the years) & Water Drop pitchers. I have to say, I think my new Hydros Carafe, is Superior to the 2 other brands by a Long Shot !!!The water is absolutely wonderful tasting !! The filter is so easy to get in & out. Especially for people that don't have full function of their hands, like I do. Plus the filters are very reasonably priced vs the other 2 Brands. The pitcher fills with incredible speed. It doesn't drip all over the place, after you're finished pouring. And the carafe style is easier to grip, than a slim handle that actually makes the weight of the water, harder to balance & keep it level.What else can I say, Except I am Beyond Thrilled with this product !!!Bravo Hydros !!!!

I specifically purchased this for road trips to keep water in the hotel fridge so we didn't need to buy bottled water. Works great. Small enough to throw in a tote bag. Water passes through quickly. I transfer water to a different bottle or pitcher and fill up the Hydros again.

I followed all directions over and over. I washed with warm soapy water etc. multiple times. Then gave up. The water from this is not drinkable and left my inside lips and tongue with this acrid almost bleachy after taste and irritation. It now sits on my kitchen window. I am afraid to put flowers in it because the water may kill them. I liked the shape and the idea that it would filter quickly. I live in New York City which has great tasting water unless your building has bad pipes. So I really didn't need a filter. It was just an extra treat for myself so I could fill a water bottle to take with me on outings.I tried it without the filter just putting water in and it still tastes bad. I have great taste buds and used to mix perfumes so also have good odor receptors. There is something leaking into the water from the container itself.I am wondering if it is made of recycled materials that are bleached to sanitize them. Whatever it is this does not work. I was going to contact the manufacturer. But realized they would say send it back, which is not that easy to do. By the way my taste and smell ability have no been impacted by Covid. I can still smell everything put before my nose and taste everything. This was so disappointing.

I want to like this so much. It's the perfect size for my office fridge and I like that it filters quickly, rather than having half of the bottle space taken up by a slow-drip filter. But there's a catch. The water has a strong plastic taste. As in I can taste the petroleum used to make it. And yes, I rinsed them and threw out the first two bottle-loads and all of the directions to the letter. I poured water directly into the bottle and let it sit for a while. This didn't have the strong plastic taste, so I can isolate the filter as the problem. I'll try getting new filters and see if that's any better before I chuck this out and try something else. Gets a three for it's nice design only.
