Do the trees come with a base so they can stand on their own?

No they don’t have a base....it’s more of a peg that sticks out from the bottom I’m guessing in order to stick it through the material you are wanting to adhere it to? We made a guide hole with a toothpick so the peg would go through, but they ended up bending. We were using styrofoam board so the pegs weren’t super strong, but with a lot of glue, they held up!

They say there are 30 pieces in the palm trees. How many palm trees in total do you get?

I got 30 pcs. Some were pretty small. Bit it was a good mix. I should have bought 3 sets though.

Are the trunks of these trees bendable?

They are pretty flexible. If you want them to stay bent though you can try using hot water to bend them. Hold the bend and flash cool in icewater.
