Informative
I’ve been on the hcg for 6 days now and am down 9 lbs but needing meal prep ideas reason I got this book. but I’m not sure what to think , it’s a good book . The beginning explains the what’s and whys so you’re clear about this diet plan. however , reading the grocery list and recipes ( which look good) there are alot of the foods that are listed as what my nutritionist told me NOT to eat eggs, avocado etc but I’ll tweak it some . Like I said it’s a good book just depends on what YOUR plan is.

Excellent Program and Well Organized
I realized I was merely eating too many calories for what I was doing on a daily basis. I am a male and 77 years old and really have been doing little in the way of exercise and staying at 200 for the last couple of years. The foods with too much salt, sugar and aspartame, I believe, kept my weight where it was for years and this simple idea of eating less just didn't seem right. But, I went from 200 lbs to 185 lbs in less than two months and it seems to remain there so far even with minimal exercise. I'm not even hungry like I was before. I think it's eating fresh foods and just enough to keep my body healthy is what works. My calorie for each day never seems to go over 1400 calories. And and didn't use the hCG pills either that the plan suggests. I would suggest, though, doing more exercise because I feel I have lost some muscle mass and need to bring some of that back. I do imbibe in a little sweet food once in a while, but the cravings are gone. This book seems easy to use too and is well organized. I eat a small breakfast out, then only eat one of the meals the book suggests each day.

not just the same old recipes you can find online
we've dont a lot of online searching for HCG recipes and mostly find the same stuff repeated over and over. this book has some excellent & easy recipesbesides that, it also gives you a week by week grocery store list so shopping is easy. remember the meals are only meant for one person, so if you're doing it with a spouse, double up what you need.Note: a lot of the meals have you doubling up by simply making twice as much of what you'd normally eat in one meal. what i mean is that whatever you had for dinner on monday is what you'll have for lunch on tuesday. what you have for dinner on tuesday will be your wednesday lunch. it does make preparing meals easier, but it decreases the variety from day to day. with that being said though, the same meal two days in a row seems to works just fine. the benefit of having a simplified meal plan was worth it in my opinion.do yourself a favor and stock up on high end spices and herbs ahead of time and dont forget to have lots of chicken/beef/vegetable broth available. those will make all the difference in the world.

A Must Have for your HCG Journey
This book was one of the best discoveries I made while searching for HCG recipes. It was a great help with meal planning, especially with being able to go online and print off the ready make shopping list for each week. It made sticking to the diet so much easier. I was able to prepare a meal not only for myself but my husband also, even though he was not on the diet, but enjoyed the food also. His with a little extra! The "Chicken Cacciatore" was a favorite as was the "Chicken Fajitas". As I write this I am near the end of phase 3A and this being my third round, I am pleased to say, with God's help also, I have lost 56 pounds. I just wish I had had this book when I did Rounds 1 and 2. I also have Anne's 2nd book "Volume Two" and as yet haven't tried any recipes as I am still gleaning from the first book, but what I really loved about the 2nd book was the added insights on HCG and the motivational helps. Those were just as important to me as the rest of the book. And Book Two also comes with all the great recipe ideas and ready make shopping lists. So I highly recommend this book for your HCG journey! Chris

nice but not enough to successfully complete a 45 day ...
Most of the HCG phase 2 recipes I found on the internet either did not conform to 'Pounds & Inches" phase 2 protocol, or were lacking. The commercial weight loss facility I used to do the HCG program just doloed out handouts each week with a few recipes, nice but not enough to successfully complete a 45 day program. This HCG cookbook saved my but! The phase 2 recipes conform to the Pounds 7 Inches protocol, and there are egg options for lacto-octo vegetarians. I followed the meal plans as outlined in the book, and supplement for phase 2, but did not for phase 3. I found most all of the recipes very tasty, fast and easy to make. This helped create varaity and interest in a 500 calorie a day diet, and enabled me to successfully complete the program. I still use some of the recipes in maitenace as they are tasty and satisfying! A+ in my book, especially for under $3

Everything you need in order to achieve success!
This book and the accompanying website are my lifeline! I have relied on both every single day, multiple times a day so far and I am getting my health back and my life back one meal, one day at a time. The book and website have been my most important tool! I have no thyroid gland and was in serious trouble physically and even mentally when I began this diet, and I hung onto every word the author printed in these pages. I have had amazing results so far and I am very confident that if I continue to follow the plan in this book, use my menus and my shopping lists (from the book and the bonus website) that I will achieve my goal of a healthy lifestyle and good health. My health has already made a turnaround and so has my attitude. I recommend this book to anyone who is struggling with weightloss, health issues related to obesity or thyroid issues, or who may have questions about the hCg diet! Thank you Anne Wolfinger!
