B+ rating...
My Review:Overall: 3.75Performance: 4.0Story: 3.5There were things I really liked about this story/series and some that I really didn't. I loved both the guys and how seemingly different they were from one another...but they work. But as they get to know one another, they begin to realize they have more in common than they ever would have thought when they started this fake relationship.Travis is one of those guys...he's simply a nice guy who likes to have a good time. He's completely unapologetic about it. He sleeps with a lot of guys, but hey...he's single and upfront with them about what he wants. So when he sees Gary's ex giving Gary a hard time, Travis steps in to put him in his place and things spiral from there.I loved that aspect of the story and how the relationship grew between the two guys. Despite their chemistry, they truly become friends first and I loved that. I also really loved how Travis handled Gary. Gary doesn't have the most self-confidence in the world...which Travis does not understand. So, he's constantly making sure that Gary realizes his worth. Gary blossoms under that appreciation an it was awesome to watch his confidence grow. Both guys have issues with their sexuality and what it means in their families. Although their circumstances aren't the same, they are close enough that the two guys connect over the similarities. The only thing about the story that I really didn't like was the whole Metropolis setting. It had a whole swinging 70's/Studio 54 vibe to it that I kind of hated. It felt like something you would find in a telenovela soap opera...so over the top with the gay drama of where they live...which sucks because that's the setting/premise for the entire series. But thankfully, the authors have written strong enough characters to overcome my distaste for the Metropolis...because I did really enjoy this book and look forward to listening to the next one, too which I've already bought.

I'm Going to Fake This Review
OK, I liked this one in spots. Gary was a very sympathetic character although he was a jerk most of the time for seeking a relationship with his fake boyfriend Travis but never telling him--or his parents that he was gay. Travis was a bit less sympathetic in how many times he breaks Gary's heart--but just as much of a jerk for failing to deal with his antagonistic parents or for totally denying his feelings for Gary. Most of the rest of the characters from this predominantly gay condominium complex in Atlanta were shallow, though some of them might be explored in subsequent books. Travis' brothers seem to be decent guys but keep running up against Travis' feelings that since they are not full siblings he's considered inferior by them. There is so much angst in so many ways all through this one that I decided I had to run right through it like a hot knife through butter to find how the HEA comes about. Verdict: It's satisfying. Epilogue: Not quite satisfying--so much left out, and hey, put a ring on it!Biggest problem with books like this--and very consistent with Riley Hart's books which I generally like very much--is the cover. I gather that's Travis. Gee, thanks, for letting us imagine what Gary looks like. I know those who read my reviews must feel I am cover-obsessed--and you would be right. My deeply held opinion is if this is going to be a romance, I want to see both men on the cover and not use my imagination. Or, neither of them but a generic scene will do with no one in it. Sometimes it can work to have just one because you really get the gist of the second one in the narrative. But in almost every chapter Travis keeps trying to boost Gary's ego by telling him how gorgeous he is. Well, give us a peek, eh?Bottom line: If this is your kind of book, you will like it. If not, meh. (Oh, BTW, ignore my headline).

Is it really Faking it?!?!?
Gary and Travis are both so hot!!! Loved the way Travis help Gary release his true self. Gary kinda did the same for Travis and helped him see thing’s clearer!! They both showed each other how to be who they truly are and ended up falling where they didn’t expect too!!! Loved the way Travis helped Gary release his wild side in the bedroom, it was definitely steamy!!!! Love these two!!

Swoony
Amazing book! Travis and Gary won my heart from the very beginning. They both needed each other. They brought out the best and maybe the worst in each other. Both have painful pasts that make them do stupid things. But they get their HEA. And it's well deserved. Also, Superass is seriously the best nickname EVER!!

Wow! Wow! Wow!
This is one of those books that sneaks up on you. You're reading along enjoying yourself when all of a sudden - BAM!!!! You realize there is so much more to this book than you thought. You find yourself totally wrapped up in these two characters. The butterflies are fluttering around your insides. Your heart starts to ache and you can't stop reading until these guys are in each other's arms forever. When I picked up this book, I thought it would be a fun read with some pretty hot sex. I expected that Gary and Travis would fall for each other but I never expected them to pull so much feeling out of me. But as they grew closer and their feelings started to develop, I grew more invested in them. That's not to say that there wasn't some really hot sex. Believe me, these guys could have incinerated Metropolis with the heat between them. These are the kinds of books I live for. The ones that pull everything out of me. The ones that make me feel every emotion the characters are feeling. The ones that I don't ever want to put down. I finished this book at 3am and I wanted nothing more than to roll right into Working It. Unfortunately, my body disagreed and made me sleep.

Gorgeous Story
A stunning examination of love under pressure. Pressure from bigoted parents, from fear of commitment, and pressure from a previous failed romance. Gary and Travis run in different circles and yet they click, firstly as a fake couple and then as something more. An amazing story and we have a gorgeous short to follow their relationship.

Well rounded and hot
The character progression is good. The characters are loveable and have some depth. I could've read it for longer with a bit more of the specifics of daily lives but I think it was a really good book. Good writing, funny lines, and very hot.

Sweet story
Very cute story by Riley Hart. I enjoyed the chemistry b/w Travis and Gary, only wish they'd have stuck it to Peter more! Ha! Look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Enjoyed!!!
4.5 stars!I really enjoyed this book but I do wish there was a Riley Hart touch to it. I felt like that was missing. Aside from that the characters, story line were are great and can't wait to read the rest of the series!
