I didn't know it's about adopted baby, still, girls enjoy listening, and if someone has adopted the baby, they kids would love it.

Book was very easy to understand. Bought as my daughter is adopted and she has started to wonder a little more, she said this book is a bit like me isn't it Mummy.

Thoughtful book with a twist, which explains adoption to an adopted child. Told with love an humour.

Sorry is lovely to explain to an adopted child where they come from etc, aimed more for a girl than a boy. Has a library stamp on the binder and front but still a lovely story

this story works best for a baby who was adopted but it's still a good story, regardless of your childs age.

I first came across this book in the nursery I work in, I picked it up thinking it was simply a book about parents telling their child about the process of pregnancy and child birth, but as I read it turned out to be so much more. It is a beauitiful book about how this young girl was adopted because her birth mummy was too young to look after her and how the new parents felt on their journey to becoming a mummy and daddy. You really get the sense of the emotions from the wonderful drawings throughout the book.Although it is based in the US, I still found it a good book as it brought up the topic of adoption, and if it gets children discussing things then this can't be a bad thing.the kids loved it and i love it, a really touching beautiful book.

This is an amazing time line book for teachers. the quality of the book from the seller was amazing and so was the price.

This book and a series of books and activities are what I used to tell my daughter that she was adopted. The trick is to start very early. From the time my daughter was very young - less than a year of I spoke about her about "her as a gift". Then when she was about 4 or so I looked for a book. this was one of the books I used to trigger the conversation. I used some other books too. I also created a video with pictures to show how we were searching, how we got a call and how she gave us one look and we were hooked etc. On Maximum Childhood, a parent network focused on teaching children, I created a learning journey for the entire exercise. link:[...]
