This whitening pen is super easy to use. Initially I turned the bottom part several times until the bleach reached the tip of the brush. Then I simply put a thin layer on each tooth in my mouth. I turned the bottom of the pen a bit to get enough bleach for each tooth. I also made sure to swipe between each tooth. It only took a minute or two. The brush attachment is the easiest one I've ever used over the years. It is soft, yet firm enough that applying is a piece of cake. The instructions say to brush your teeth and floss before using, but I typically don't do that. I just brush it on when I think of it about once a day. You're not supposed to swallow it, but I don't see how that can be avoided to some extent. About 20 minutes later, I rinse my mouth out and I'm done. The taste isn't peppermint and one time I breathed in as I swiped a front tooth and it felt like I was breathing in weak ammonia. But overall the taste is tolerable. I have already been using another brand prior to getting this pen. It is the CVS brand that comes in a container much like nail polish with a brush attached to the lid. I like that one too, but this pen is much easier to use. After 2 uses, I noticed a fairly significant whitening effect despite my prior daily use with the CVS stuff over the last month. This leads me to believe the Smilebriter is a more effective bleaching option. I'm very pleased with these pens (2) and once they are gone, I'll definitely order more.

I really like these whitening pens. They are not expensive and they do actually work. I noticed a whiter smile after about 3 days of using this.I continued to use it for about two weeks and kept noticing a whiter smile.I still use this product and have been for about a month. But I'm not seeing as much of a difference anymore. Maybe my teeth are as white as they are going to get but i can't help but think this product can get your teeth to a certain point but not much past that.I also don't like that I'll use it and then let it set on the sink and the next day there is a giant glob of the whitening paste on the end of the tip. I feel like I'm using too much and wasting it.I like that I can use it quickly and you really only nee to hold your lips away former teeth for 30 seconds. It is pretty much dry after that. Just make sure not to drink anything right after because it doesn’t work as well that way and it also tastes bad if you aren’t careful to just let it stay on your teeth. Don’t run your tongue across your teeth for a while after or it will taste bad!I like this product but I wish it was a little stronger.

I mean it gets the job done , does make your teeth whiter after one week of use twice a day . But to things I don’t like , one pen doesn’t really last you that long like and it tastes horrible it’s really bitter if you swallow it.

I had to give it a couple extra clicks for theinitial use, but now one click and "paint" on the gel. It says to keep your teeth exposed for 30 seconds, but the last whitening solution I used came with a mouth tray, and afer using that, I have noticed significant improvement in whitening my smile. I wish I took a before and afer picture, but this has really helped. Even my dental hygenist mentioned to me that my teeth were whiter.

Easy to use and one application a week keep your teeth a nice natural white. I should know, I look at my wife's smile everyday and tease her about how white it is. In fact, it's really nice. Not news anchor, blinding white, just a nice natural tooth-white color. However, since writing this positive review, the product has slipped in terms of quality of the actual container for applying the whitening agent. One fell apart completely, the other wouldn't function properly (the end that you turn to get the whitener out didn't work). Flaws that need to be fixed but overall it's a great product.To Michael Jones credit, who sells these through Amazon, he tried to be responsive by providing a code to get two pens at no cost. The code didn't work; nor did the second one he provided. He also said he'd check with the manufacturer, who I suspect -- just guessing! -- is probably in China. Getting the product was no problem, received it on time. There are two pens in the package. Instructions are simple. I followed the instructions and even stood the pen on it's end at night even though the instructions did not tell me to. Now, after several weeks I realize that in the beginning I do not believe there was any product actually getting on my teeth, because now I can actually taste it where in the beginning I could not. I am allowing 3 stars because I drink a lot of coffee and tea, no dark sodas only 7UP and I am old (68) so I know older teeth darken because of age. If I were younger perhaps it would work better, but I cannot tell any difference in my teeth color and it has not caused me any sensitivity although I do use a tooth paste for sensitive teeth.

Didn't notice any difference, used for a few weeks. My teeth are not that stained/yellow. I also got the Zoom whitening done a while ago, and really noticed no difference, so ... who knows. But they are easy to apply, doesn't take long (according to directions), doesn't taste horrible - doesn't taste GOOD, but it probably shouldn't as it's whitening gel. If you apply frequently and get it on your gums, I noticed it would tingle a little bit, and then my gum (in the area) would be a little reddish for about 30 min. then would be fine. I did not notice any sensitivity, I think because this is a low dose of whitening gel, and it's on there for so little time - which is why I wanted to try it. I do notice sensitivity when I've used things like the Crest Whitening strips.If you really want white teeth, I say just bite the bullet and go get trays and gel from your dentist - that stuff works amazingly well!If you want a little whitening in a convenient way - this might be worth a try. Price is cheap, so if it doesn't work, not a huge loss.
