An excellent ending to a strong series.
M. A. Larson has grown as a novelist in this final volume of the Pennyroyal trilogy. The world is expanded and the conflicts are deeper. The story remains centered on the same four adventurous students. This story brings out the family secrets that drove them to Pennyroyal Academy, answers questions about the characters' histories, and solves the prophecy from the first book.Yes, there is the power of love. And a herd of entirely too many unicorns. And dragons. And witches. And a climactic battle. And lessons in both soft power and hard power.I highly recommend this series for lovers of adventure.

Slow start
I really didn't like the first part of the final in this series. Was really not about the academy. Also no mention about what happened to the hawk. The book picked up at the end and then left us with a cliff hanger.I will read the series again because I am sure I missed details. I do recommend the series for all ages. I look forward to more about Evie and Delete a.

Amazing book series for all ages and genders
Loved how it took classic storybook characters and threw them in when you didn't expect. Great plot twists. Left you wanting more. Great new take on fairytale with a female lead that doesn't get preachy, just enjoyable and fun. Original and fresh, I can't recommend them enough.

I loved it (age 43). My nieces love it (age 9)!
With the message that kindness and compassion can beat back hatred and fear I was hooked. A wonderful adventure with princesses, knights, witches and dragons - I've already ordered the other two books in the series!
