EcoSphere Closed Aquatic Ecosystem, Small Sphere, with Revolving Base, 4" Diameter Small Sphere, Model:Small Sphere with Base

So I bought this two years and two months ago. It came with four awesome little shrimp, a snail, moss and a great piece of drift wood. The shrimp were red and active. Unfortunately, a few weeks after arrival, one shrimp died. However, for the next two years, the other shrimp have thrived. One recently died, but the last remaining two are red and active. For two plus years of daily entertainment watching this mini world, it was well worth it. The box itself arrived severely damaged but it was so well packaged it made no difference. The little guys were all fine and the delicate glass in tact. I will be a repeat customer. Wonderful little ecosystem for a nice oasis of life on your desk, right before your eyes.

I bought this for my husband at Christmas and it has been a wonderful little world to watch!! We ended up with 5 shrimp, 1 alpha (he’s huge) and 4 smaller shrimp (2 white/translucent); so they are easy to identify and keep up with. I will say I did buy this exact one for my parents last Christmas only to find out they’re ecosystem didn’t sustain and they all died. However, I do feel my mother didn’t know how to properly maintain it. I keep our sphere in the kitchen window as it is important they receive plenty of natural sunlight for the algae to grow since this is what they feed on. I’m also very conscientious about the temperature of the globe and will put it underneath a lamp if the week is rainy or devoid of sunlight. Hoping that these guys stay alive for awhile, but who can say? We have only had them since December 22. Fingers crossed 🦐

I love my shrimps so much! They all have names. I keep them on my desk at work and spend a large part of the day peeking in to see what they are up to. They never cease to entertain me. They are so cute and fun and it brightens the day for my friends and family when they receive my constant pictures and videos of the shrimps. It’s a great little world they live inside their ecosystem and they are easy to maintain, just follow the directions to place them in the correct area of ur home or office and then they just take care of themselves. I just love them.

I love this EcoSphere!! When I saw it on the website, I just had to have it! However, I could have died when I saw the condition of the package on my porch when it arrived. It was torn almost completely all the way around! I just knew the orb had to be broken and the shrimp dead. But due to the fantastic inner packaging, the orb was intact and the little shrimp were swimming around! I'm sure they must have thought they had survived a major hurricane from the handling of the shipping company! So Kudos to Ecosphere Associates for a job well done with the packaging...now if we can only get the shipping company to be more careful with items marked "FRAGILE!" I bought the EcoSphere in the hopes that it would be a "de-stressor" at work! It has not disappointed and may even be helping too much as I find myself just staring at the shrimp swimming around instead of doing my work! LOL!! I am extremely happy with the EcoSphere Orb!!! UPDATE: Still loving my little EcoSphere! I would like to get another for my home. I wonder though...I keep seeing little bubbles forming from the bottom of the sphere on top of the white rocks. Today, the bubble actually floated one of the rocks (see picture attached). Is it normal for bubbles to form?

I got 4 shrimp in my small 4 inch ecosphere before deciding to put them in a full sized tank and let them vibe with other shrimps. I felt the ecosphere was too small for them to be happy and quite litetally broke them out. They're very active and enjoy climbing all over anything they can possibly get, they love marimo moss balls and they all seem to congregate together which is very cute. The sphere itself was nice but did get condensation in it very quickly, it arrived perfectly in the mail. It is kind of hard to see the shrimp inside the sphere due to the curvature of the sphere itself. I've had my shrimp for several weeks and love them all

We got Shrimp Tim (the longest living shrimp of the group, his nickname) December 29th 2017. He died today, May 7th 2025. Long live Shrimp Tim. You will be missed. Your will to live was inspiring. RIP and thanks for the memories.

I gave this as a gift to my son in 2016 and one shrimp is still alive!!!!!

I bought my ecosphere in 2022. One of 3 shrimp died last year. The other 2 are still happy. I guess the eco system is placed in the perfect spot in my kitchen. My shrimp make me happy every day.

Unfortunately all the shrimp were dead when it arrived. Possibly due to the postal process and cold weather? Seller was great and offered to refund or replace right away.
