*UPDATED INFO:8/29/19: here is a photo of some work using this thread using a size 1.15 mm hook. Excellent quality!!!Wanted to try this (new to me) crochet thread, and purchased their Size 8. When I compared it to my collection of other crochet threads (DMC, Anchor, Manuela), it is actually the same as the traditional Size 30. So I suggest when buying this GoLo crochet thread, you consider the following comparisonsGoLo 10 = Size 20 (traditional Size) *GoLo 8 = Size 30 (traditional Size) *GoLo 6 = Might be a traditional Size 10 (I have not purchased this Size so I do not know for sure.)So I'm giving it 4 stars because of the confusing thread sizing, but the quality of the thread is very good. Also, the colours I have bought (Light Green, Golden Coffee, Sapphire and Crimson) all look like the photos GoLo used.

This thread is fairly smooth and free of snags. For tatting, it does twist considerably when closing rings, but it is doable. However, be aware Golo size 20 thread considerably lighter than other size 20 thread I have used. The photo is a comparison of the same snowflake tatted in another brand and GoLo. you can see that the GoLo thread snowflake is MUCH smaller. Just something to be aware of!

I purchased this because I needed 50 gauge yarn for a very small lace doily project. This very very fine yarn suits that purpose. It is very very fine. Don’t order it and be shocked that it’s so small. It’s for little projects. Tiny tiny little bitty projects. Be aware of that

The color is beautiful but I’m going to have to order two more to get the thickness I need. I could use this for thread on my sewing machine.

This size of 20 thread is hard to find. I wish the manufacturers would make all of their threads in this big ball size. They gear their threads towards tatters and not crocheters. I try to use size 10 since I cannot get a big enough ball of the 20. See if they made bigger balls they might sell more?

I'm really looking forward to using this yarn for a particular project, as the color is not easily found in mercerized cotton. I bought four balls because I knew I would need to work with a double-strand. I was still a little disappointed that this is #20 yarn and not #10. Gotta go with the encouragement of coming this far.

I did not get the color expected. I thought I was getting a light blue but I ended up with a red. I think the picture is wrong, because when I double checked it was labeled as light red (700) with a picture of light blue thread. Hopefully they can get that sorted out.I do really like this yarn and I've ordered several colors.

I didn't know crochet thread could be this pretty. It is shiny and it is easy to work with. I purchased it from Amazon. The price was good. It arrived when it said it would.

Colours: Black & Silvery, Size: 20PROS:- It arrived earlier than expected. It took 5 weeks to arrive, so it wasn’t fast by any means. However, it was supposed to arrive in 7-10 weeks.- I haven’t used it yet since it just arrived today. However, I did crochet a small amount as a sample. The thread appears to be very good quality. If my opinion changes after using the thread, I’ll update my review accordingly.- The price is excellent for the amount given. It’s 40g/ 400 yards/ 360 m. I saw a review that someone thought this was a tiny spool... I don’t think this person looked at the inner circumference or the amount written on the package. At first glance, It looks much smaller than my Aunt Lydia’s #10 crochet thread, but this is just due to the packaging. The Aunt Lydia’s may look bigger, but it actually only has 350 yards. This has 50 more yards even though it appears to be half of the size! I prefer this packaging because it takes up much less space and is easier to store! So if you get disappointed when you see the size, please look carefully at the amount given. Looks can be deceiving after all.- It is exactly as pictured. It didn’t come tangled up, which does happen with cheaper brands. The colours are exactly as pictured. The black is shinier than the Aunt Lydia’s and smoother than DMC #8 Pearl Cotton thread. The Silvery shade looks different from DMC and similar to Aunt Lydia’s Silver crochet thread. For reference: DMC #415 is cooler and lighter than this brand’s Silvery shade. This one is basically a neutral light gray that’s pretty universal. It isn’t unique, but it’s very useful.- There is no funky or plastic smell. This has happened to me in the past when I bought other crafts, so that’s why I’m pointing this out.CONS:- This is supposed to be Size 20 crochet thread, but it’s definitely much thinner. I had anticipated this based on some of the reviews, but I assumed it would be slightly thinner than a Size 20 or perhaps a Size 30. Well, I regret buying two at once because this is like a “size 35” (something between Sizes 30 and 40). I don’t have a use for this size, so I considered rating this thread only 3 stars. However, it seemed a bit harsh given the quality and price. If I could, I would’ve given it 3.5 stars.My advice is to buy only 1 spool of 1 size at a time. If you use tons of different sizes, then you could buy 1 of each different size and then buy more of the size you prefer. The reason why I bought 2 at once was because of the long shipping times. I can’t find anything thinner than a Size 10 locally excluding extremely basic colours of DMC Pearl Cotton #8 (ie. white, ecru, black). This crochet thread is pretty and cheap enough for me to take my own advice and experiment with different sizes. I’ll update this review once I get this brand in different sizes.

I love this thread! It has a silky texture and very satisfying working with it. I can’t wait to get more in different colours. The shipping did take a long time which is understandable since it comes from China. However, definitely worth the wait. Many thanks to the seller for making this thread available on Amazon.

Maybe it was my mistake, but didn't see anything about extra duty costs.Overall, everything was perfect: details, price, shipment tracking, on-time delivery. Due to the pandemic (sadly), I've discovered Amazon is a very useful shopping tool.
