I truly wish I could memorize this book and then go around AFRICA preaching it, for the sake of Humanity's survival ! And I cant believe how true and relevant this book is today in 2010 when it was written so long ago ! Young generation of Africans have a map, all we have to do is follow it ! Instead of being lost following Europe, America, China, The United Nations, The World this, the World that ! Cheik Anta Diop has spoken with heart and logic in the interest of AFRICA and AFRICANS and the WORLD !!! The mission for new generation is to apply this book or come up with better ideas when it comes to the reality of a Federal Africa. But why re invent the wheel ? Hopefully this will serve to motivate not only myself but others to move beyond rhetoric and gestures and get serious about spirituality morality justice and elevation which should lead to Not just surviving but thriving for those African children that come behind us

A must have for your library. It's interesting to note that a lot of the material in this book is currently being initiated in Africa, especially the signing of the free trade agreement among the 44 of the 55 territories in Africa. This will likely lead to a United Africa in the next two decades. Also of note, some economist predict that in 20yrs, Africa will have the fastest and largest growing economy.

Diop was one of the precious gems of the Afrikan diaspora. If only Afrikan leaders would heed his warnings and follow his principled stance.

A quick read that illustrates the vast clean energy resources of Africa and how unifications across countries can increase efficiency and local prosperity.

No doubt that most if not all would agree that Africa is a rich continent, if not the most richest continent on earth. If it will ever become a unified continent, it will be an economic powerhouse very well able to provide for itself and many others many times over. Dr Diop's book serves as fresh reminder to early 21st century readers that many of the energy ideas, economic ideas, and political ideas are not new. They are just being rehashed. One day Africa will fulfill Dr Diop and many other's dreams of becoming a United Africa. Probably without the name Africa since that name was coined by the Romans.

The elder did an excellent work here. I love the book and wish that more of us would take the time to read it multiple times. In addition, this book is a good basis of conversation for the diaspora to TALK AND DO BUSINESS!

Diop is incomparable in the annals of African history. As could be expected, his ideas make sound sense.

This book gives a very meaningful insight into the African wealth and current mismanagement issues.
