SteelSeries 61483 Arctis 9X Wireless Gaming Headset– Black (Renewed)

This is my second time having this headset and i have had it for about 1 year. The first pair I had lasted me 2 years until one day while charging I tripped on the cable and the broke on impact hitting the floor. They broke at the joint where the headband pivot meets the headphone. My second pair as seen in the photos is starting to break their as well after about 9 months just from normal use.It seems these headset have an issue where the plastic at the joint begins to crack on the metal pivot point until it breaks enough to where it no longer wholes the headphone in place.However the battery life is great! can go 3 days of continuous use before needing a charge. Super comfortable, and microphone quality is A1. I also love the dual Bluetooth feature so when I’m grinding a Minecraft realm with friends or doing some tedious grinding in medieval dynasty I pull up YouTube on my PC and watch The Yard podcast on my second screen having the headset connecting to both my computer and my Xbox. Also if I don’t have my computer on they automatically connect to my phone so I no longer miss any notifications when I’m in a game. I often get a call from my friend and I never have to take my headset off or pause my games to hear them.RAINBOW 6:The sound design in these headphone are perfect for all types of games. I myself first noticed when playing rainbow six siege that I could give a specific callout to somebody saying he’s behind you in the room to your left behind the wall and my teammates would turn around spray the wall and get the kill. the most common response I would get in game is “how can you hear that”. I swear on everything I can hear operators reloading from small bakery when I’m standing on top red stairs on kafe Dostoyevskyz. This headset literally tells you where everyone is and what they’re doing if you’re familiar with your sound cues.If you plan on purchasing this headset I would recommend getting a stand and being very cautious with the pivot points. When placing the headset on your head do so by pulling on the head band rather than the earphone to avoid cracking in the plastic. Trust me this can be a 6 star headset if it didn’t wear at that one specific place. But take better care of it than I did and you’ll never have a problem. :))

The headphones have super soft cushions on the earpieces that sit in such a way that it helps to noise cancel and hear the sound very clearly through the headphones. They are very sleek and nice looking when wearing them, as well as super comfortable with the use of the adjustable stretchy band. They last a really long time off of a single charge and don't take very long to charge back up again. They are really durable and is a very good and sturdy choice for a headset you want to last you as long as possible. Easy to wear for a handful of hours without any kind of irritation or discomfort. The mouth piece is also retractable which is super convenient

At first this headset was by far my favorite of any I have had in the past, but... After maybe 2 hours of gameplay the headset began having connectivity issues. The sound would cut in and out, and I even hit the reset button inside the right ear cup cushion, this would alleviate the problem for maybe 30 min and then it would be right back to it. If you are thinking about connecting your phone to the headset while you're gaming good luck because they have problems with the amount of audio coming in. You can't adjust settings with the steel series app on the PC if you are running Windows 10 either because it doesn't recognize the headset. Overall the sound is great but it is not a reliable product. No problem with the seller of the product this is all from steel series themselves. Do your research.

It worked great for a few months- solid sound quality, the most comfortable headset ever, and you can use it for Xbox and PC (if you have an Xbox dongle and have patience to connect and reconnect every time you switch consoles).I have never dropped it, I always charge it for the proper amount of time, and I take great care of my belongings, HOWEVER, it just randomly decided to no longer turn on. I made sure it wasn't just dead by charging it with several different cords and outlets, I tried every possible combination of button presses, and even did a factory reset. Nothing works, and I can't get it to turn on. Worked on my xbox and my PC the night before it died, and it was resting on the headset hook undisturbed until the next day when I tried to use it again.The seller offers a 90 day warranty which is great if it craps out early on, but mine lasted for a couple months longer than their warranty covered- CONVENIENT. Didn't even make it a year, and it's one of the more expensive headsets on the market. You'd expect to get a year AT LEAST from a $300 headset. I will never buy another item from this seller (i-Tech Mall), and I will never buy another Steelseries product because no one even offered to help resolve my issue. They got their money and said CYA, so I will say the same!EDIT:Customer service finally found a solution for me after months of going in circles. There is a soft reset and hard reset and I finally talked to someone that knew how to perform the FULL factory reset, which worked. Total pain, but at least it works again.

I’ve been using this headset for both an Xbox console and for my 10 year old hand-me-down I phone. Works splendidly.This refurbished headset is super comfortable and I can’t hear my sister conversating with friends when she’s sitting next to me.In game sound is beautiful and I can hear when someone is behind me or flanking me.The sound can start to cut out when it’s close to needing a charge. Though as long as you remember to charge it every night or whenever you desire to stop using it it should maintain great audio.I bought this headset refurbished though my only real complaint is that Amazon sent it with the wrong type of charger.I had to substitute with a matching phone charger until I find an actual charger meant for this headset.Other than that this is a fantastic buy and I’m glad I made the purchase.
