Read the series the desertcart Original show is based on! All-new printing collecting the first 14 issues of the critically acclaimed series, now heading to live-action on desertcart Prime! This is going to hurt! In a world where costumed heroes soar through the sky and masked vigilantes prowl the night, someone's got to make sure the "supes" don't get out of line. And someone will! Billy Butcher, Wee Hughie, Mother's Milk, The Frenchman, and The Female are The Boys: A CIA-backed team of very dangerous people, each one dedicated to the struggle against the most dangerous force on Earth - superpower! Some superheroes have to be watched. Some have to be controlled. And some of them - sometimes - need to be taken out of the picture. That's when you call in The Boys! After the opening story arc introducing Hughie to the team (issues 1-6), Dark avenger Tek-Knight and his ex-partner Swingwing are in trouble (issues 7-14). Big trouble. One has lost control of his terrifyingly overactive sex-drive, and the other might just be a murderer. It's up to Hughie and Butcher to work out which is which, in Get Some. Then, in Glorious Five-Year Plan, The Boys travel to Russia - where their corporate opponents are working with the mob, in a super-conspiracy that threatens to spiral lethally out of control. Good thing our heroes have Love Sausage on their side. Featuring some ever-so-slight tweaks the creators have meticulously restored, The Boys Omniobus Volume 1 also features bonus art materials, the script to issue #1 by Garth Ennis, a complete cover gallery, and more! Review: You’ve got Garth Ennis behind it - The Boys Omnibus Vol. 1—right, let’s get one thing straight. This isn’t your shiny, feel-good superhero nonsense. This is brutal, messy, and exactly how it should be. You’ve got Garth Ennis behind it—so you already know you’re in for something sharp, cynical, and not remotely polite. And he delivers. Big time. The premise? Superheroes—but not the clean-cut, “save the day” types. Nah. These ones are corrupt, arrogant, completely out of control. And that’s where things get interesting. Very interesting. The characters—especially Billy Butcher—are absolute weapons. Ruthless, calculating, funny in a very dark way. The kind of bloke who walks into a room and you immediately know something bad’s about to happen. And you’re here for it. The artwork matches the tone perfectly. Gritty, grounded, no glossy nonsense. It doesn’t try to make things pretty—it shows things as they are. And sometimes that’s ugly. Very ugly. Now let’s be clear—this is not for everyone. It’s violent, it’s crude, it pushes boundaries constantly. But that’s the point. It tears down the whole superhero myth and shows you what happens when power goes unchecked. And honestly? It’s addictive. You start reading, thinking you’ll just have a look—next thing you know, you’re deep into it, wondering how far it’s going to go. And it keeps going. Overall: savage, uncompromising, and brutally entertaining. It doesn’t ask for your approval—it grabs you and drags you through the mess. And somehow, you enjoy every second of it. Review: Awesome Adult story and action - Excellent graphic novel. Beautiful artwork with an adult story! The TV show is not quite the same! Well worth buying

How comic books used to be
Boys is a great example of how comic book aimed at adults used to be. It's gritty, hard hitting and contains a mixture of parody, satire and straight talking in just the right ratio. The characters are over the top yet also relatable, and there is absolutely no regard for political correctness and over sensitvity. Character can be crass or violent and yet make compelling arguments against overreach and violence. And because this is an older comic it do not push its politics down your throat like modern Marvel or DC. If anything, Boys show how far the comic book industry has fallen, and what can be done when comics are written by artists rather than activists. There are strong female characters, strong minority characters and an LGBT sub plot, but none of it feels forced or artifical. These characters have a part to play in the story and weren't added in as tokens to pander to publishers. They comment on racism, sexism, homophobia, and corporate greed while placing the story above all else. A good read, though possibly too much sex and violence for some people's taste.

Ultra swearing at it's best
Having watched 'the boys' on tv I decided to buy the first graphic novel and really wasn't disappointed. This walks all over the tv show and with quite a different storyline too. Buy it and enjoy the violence and bad language

ITEM CAME DAMAGED BADLY
Not a review of the product but i received the item extremely damaged and i am in the process of arranging a refund. Very shocked that a brand new book could be shipped out in such a bad state.

A origem da série da Amazon Prime.
A saga que a própria DC achou negra de mais. Garth Ennis no seu esplendor. Começa aqui a saga que mais tarde a Amazon Prime adaptou a série.
