Programming truth
This book is an excellent example of how programmed we are. His examples show how our perspective about life allows in experiences to expose those programs to us. It also offers how a questioning perspective on one's motives can offer a pragmatic way of protecting one self, with future book promises to detail that. I disagree with what he claims is human nature. What I believe he has revealed is the programming of how to view human nature is for those who want to deceive and control you. Gave it a 4 star because he left out some resolutions with promises of future books. I only wonder how many books it will take to get there.

A+ Book to help you become the Real you!!!
Harry Petsanis wrote a book that everyone can relate to in some way, shape, or form. He helps us all recognize how programmed we've become, how much of our thoughts and lifestyles were engrained in us by our parents and certain authority figures. He teaches us, through his experiences, how to reprogram our minds to think for ourselves. I, myself, am a people pleaser. He taught me that I please others in order to avoid my own problems and to avoid conflict. I've learned many other things about myself, as well. As an overly emotional person, this book has especially helped me. Everyone, though, would benefit from reading this book. Realizing your truth is a lie can change your entire life for the better. Thanks, Harry!!! You helped me, tremendously!

The Truth Is A Lie---Eye Opening Book!
Harry's book is well thought out with logic, open eyes & a voice that asks you to see beneath the masks that we all wear. He states what society considers truth & then, with examples in each chapter, he shows you the lie. I have learned many of these truths myself but I have never seen anyone state them so matter-of-factly before. Thank you, Harry.

Finding your lane
Harry has broken this book into sections that apply to all aspects of not only who we are but how who we are affects EVERYTHING around us. When you're shrouded in lies there is no way to really make effective change. Our lies affect our kids, how we teach, how we vote, what we allow and how we manipulate others into believing our lie. Chile..., ya'll aint ready for ALL these truths!!!! At the core we are responsible for that whack job in the white house, the dysfunction of our society and the world around us. This book will allow you to see your footprint and how its had/has a devastating impact on those around you. I had a visceral reaction initially and it wasn't until I was ok with really looking at my mess and owning it did the words turn from painful to pleasure. We need to be able to see yourselves the right way and stop putting our mess on others to fix. BRAVO Harry!!!! BRAVO!!!!!!

An easy read...
The book is written without jargon - it's clear. concise and easy to read - he makes some very interesting points and shares personal experiences to illustrate them. There are very useful insights to be gained from reading this particular book and of course whilst one may not agreed with everything said - like most things in life - at the very least he makes you question that itself ...the theme of personal ownership is overriding and may make uncomfortable reading and therein lays the true worth of this book - it's bound to change your world view of yourself and question your own motives - which is a great thing - keep an open mind and read it - take what you want and apply the lessons to improve your life...simple and effectively.

A very great Advising...
I finished the first one now. I'm not easy to convince, but "The Truth is a lie" is the best I've ever read in this area. Relentlessly honest. You hit the nail on the head with it! I would not say it if it was not so. I am very impressed, Harry. Thank you very much.

Accessible, encouraging, and empowering
I, like so many others, have gotten to know about Harry Petsanis from his courteous engagement with all on Twitter. He has also been sharing quotes and encouragement from and about this book, The Truth is a Lie. Reading the book (on Kindle), however, offers a better insight into the man behind the motivation. This, I feel, is very important. Harry's sincerity has come through, but also his practical view of maintaining a certain stoicism in relationships. Given our present time, his views offer the kind of safety many of the modern-day readers require.Just to share a couple of excerpts that can be called accessible, encouraging, and empowering, here are just a couple of good examples:1) "We don’t love someone or feel great affection for them based on who they are, we love someone and feel great affection for them based on who we are. It isn’t that someone is exciting, it’s that we feel excited. They’re not interesting, we find them interesting. We don’t see them as attractive, they’re attractive to us. The feelings that we have aren’t about someone else, they’re about us."2) "Lesson learned: When you understand someone’s motive and their intent, you immediately understand the position they’ve taken and, more importantly, the position they’re trying to put you in. Never rush when ascertaining someone’s motive."Do read this book. I am quite sure, you would find it easy to read and benefit from!
