I'm 33 and I had fun too!!
Fun. Had to put that first. I got this for my 10 year old daughter. She is autistic. Once she finds a topic she likes, she wants tons of information on it. This package is nice because it comes with a puzzle book and a fact book. Which was very well written and attention grabbing. The puzzle book was awesome as well. It's not just random puzzles with that country's facts inserted. As you go through the pages you cross off items, locations, and suspects until you know who did it. Very cool concept. I did this with her and I had fun as well. Parent involvement is not needed to complete. I definitely recommend and we are keeping this subscription going in our house. Was this helpful? My kids are already asking when the next one will be here
We got our third one today and my kids (8 & 9) ripped into it with excitement. I did the first one with them and had a lot of fun. The types of puzzles are the same in each activity book, but the content is different per the case. They figured out how to cheat and solve the mazes without looking up the trivia answers in the second month. I told them they had to read this time. It’s a good way of making non-fiction reading fun.I originally subscribed with the hopes of saving them up to use on a vacation where we will be doing a lot of traveling and waiting, but they’re so excited to get them that I don’t think I’ll be able to manage it!Save the map, passport and stickers you get the first month, you won’t get it in every package. I didn’t know and ditched the map from the first one. Wish I hadn’t.

Excellent Product
If you have a child who likes to solve mysteries and enjoys learning about history and other cultures, this is perfect for them. My son was hooked right away with the fun letter that explains the mission. We really enjoy the map that was included. This is not a quick activity book, there are so many different activities. We didn't work on it everyday and it took us about a month to complete everything and solve the mysteries which was perfect timing for when we received the next packet. I am an early elementary teacher and was both pleasantly surprised and am impressed with the variety of activities to complete: search and find, matching, codes, opposites, critical thinking skills, etc. The reading level of the guide book is higher, I would guess about third grade and above, and the activity book would probably be upper second grade or higher. My son was able to read the activity booklet and I would read to him from the Top Secret Guide Book. It was a nice balance for shared reading. So, if you are wondering if this is at the right reading level and interest level for your child, I would say it is good from first grade (with help reading from adult or older sibling) to 5th grade. The older the student, the quicker and more independently they will be able to get through the activities. I highly recommend this.

Great product just not for $$$
This peoduct is very fun and very well put together. Amazing opoetunity expand into a super fun game think dress up/physical challenges etc. The workbook imcludes a variety of skills challenges, puzzles, geography, math, reading. Might be worth it for homeschooling or preschool class to do together but the boxes are basically a workbook and a paperback book about the country. The book is great-good pictures great overview and facts. I would love to be able to buy just the book set for a reasonable price. Would be fantastic to have for a montessori type country box. All that said this just costs too much. I can pretty much get a similar activity put together at the dollar tree for few bucks that includes much more.

My Kids Love These!
I started homeschooling this year, and I ordered this subscription for my kids (10 & 7). They both love it. I have to say that my 10-year-old could do this whole thing in a very short amount of time. That said, it has a lot of information in it and I just spread it out, doing 2-4 pages a day (each "activity" is two pages). I love that it comes with the book about the country. Every month in homeschool, we study a different country, and we decided to just make that country the same country that this mystery is about. It's a fun surprise of which country we will focus on. Working on the mystery gives us a lot of talking points about the country too. I recommend this for sure, but just be prepared if you give it to a kid that can read well and is older, then they can do it very quickly on their own. It isn't really very challenging. But my mystery loving kid LOVES it!

Best Thing I’ve Bought in a Long Time
My eight year old daughter absolutely devoured this. It was so much fun. There are so many pieces to it. She got a passport and stickers for her stamps as she goes to each country. Then we went about solving the mystery and she just thought it was so exciting. There were only a couple puzzles she didn’t enjoy or understand very well out of the approximately fifteen it came with. Neither of us were in love with the book about Egypt it came with. It was a little too hard dry facts. I’m hoping the other books for the other countries are done a little more creatively. But the rest of it, crossing off who did it and going through the puzzle pages hunting down the clues was just so much fun. I highly recommend it.

Great idea, but material is 20 years old!
This is a great idea for kids who likes puzzles disguised as mysteries. Great for geography and logic, etc. My only complaint is that pictures and info in the book we got (Sweden), is over 20 years old. Aside from the pictures looking very old fashioned, so much has changed in the world that it's important to present much more timely data.Nevertheless, we will try a few more months and see how it goes.

Imaginary vacation/missions for kids and family
My 7 year old LOVES these! He gets super excited when they arrive in the mail. He loves feeling like a spy-detective. The who-done-it mysteries are cute. My husband does feel that they are a little formulaic and repetative, but my 7 year old still loves it. I love that my son learns a bit about places around the world while on an imaginary adventure. They are fantastic educational tools for the house-bound Corona kids (and parents). We can imagine we've been somewhere else!
