Voice in the Night: The True Story of a Man and the Miracles That Are Changing Africa

This book has been an absolute amazing story after amazing story. Every day that I read it I have to stop and tell my husband all the things that have happened to surprise and I'm sorry I finished it. I would love to hear more stories I'm sure there are so many he will have to write many more books. God rescues us when there's no one else to rescue us. He is the only one. Praise Jesus! Amazing!

This book is packed with testinonies about God’s faithfulness and love. It challenges believers everywhere to share the gospel with signs following till Jesus returns. Read and be encouraged!

Words are not sufficient to describe how inspiring this book is. In Hebrews chapter 11, Paul attempts to give us a description of these rare individuals who live, walk and die displaying this type of faith, and in verse 38 he make this statement, the world was not worthy of them. Surprise Sithole is just such a man. Born in extreme poverty and raised in the occult, an unknown voice in the middle of the night saved his life, and started him on a lifetime journey that would bring countless thousand into the Kingdom of God. Another example that could describe him and the events that took place in this book can be found in Mark 16:17-18. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. In today's conference generation, where Christians fly all over the world chasing signs and wonders, it is refreshing to read about a humble individual who has signs and wonders following him. Perhaps if all of us had the same burning desire, love and compassion that compels this man, they would follow us as well. This book has brought me to the conclusion that the only signs and wonders that will make a real difference are those that follow the warrior. Those with the courage to step out of their carpeted sanctuaries and start obeying the Great Commission, for they are the footprints of the Christ within. Although I have given Honor to this humble man, and rightfully so, it is not my intent to place to much praise upon him, and I am sure that he would agree. although the signs and wonders thrilled me, the one comment that I will always remember can be found on the first page of chapter 11. After surviving a massacre he came to this conclusion. Before, Jesus had been the most important thing in my life-by far. Now having lived through this horrendous event I felt that nothing else mattered; I felt that anything that earthy life offered was only an illusion that could evaporate in a moment and that anything I did that was not done for God was a waste of time.

This is one of the most powerful testimonies I've ever read. Please please read it and be prepared to have your heart overwhelmed by the goodness of God & reignited to share the light of the Gospel.

This book is incredible. God started speaking to me in dreams while I was reading this book - so watch out for what He does when you read!! It’s a short read, but I both laughed and cried on my way through it. Cannot recommend highly enough. Ordering a copy for a friend today!

One of the most encouraging books I’ve ever read ; it tells the hardship of living in Africa, but what , mighty God we serve

The book reminds me much of what God did in the book of Acts through His Apostles , but in our days . What an amazing God we serve, what a Son we have to worship! Many times I was in awe, while reading this book, because of the incredible and amazing experiences Pastor Surprise was able to live through his faith in the Loving and Powerful name of our Lord Jesus Christ . This book book challenges me to get closer to God and improve my relationship with Him. I truly recommend it. Thank You Jesus , Thank you Pastor Surprise for allowing yourself to be used by God tremendously, and for sharing your faith building/lifting journey with the Lord . This is one of the most amazing books I've ever read. I almost never read a book twice, however this is one that I have. God's personal and powerful involvement in human life is so awe-inspiring and amazingly demonstrated. A must read for everyone.

I met Surprise briefly a number of years ago in South Africa and I was a friend of his cousin Eziquiel, who is mentioned in this book. Having experienced a small part of this story first hand has forever changed me and it is inspiring to hear more of what God is doing is this part of the world.
