GROHE Waste Set with Push-Open Plug for Washbasins with Overflow, Chrome, 65807000

I've installed this in all my washbasins. They're so well made and easy to install that I got one more to keep in stock.

Fitted a new basin and opted for this as a replacement for the cheap trade basin pop up waste that came with it. Once figured out (with a bit of help from the Q + A- thanks) this is actually a really good design where the bottom section which your trap screws onto, is tightened from the top with a hex screw. You need to follow the technical drawing on the Grohe website for this product. What really confuses matters are the photographs of the product where the hex screw head features at the bottom. This inverts so you tighten it from the top. I used a bit of plumbers mait and a washer for the top part, and plumbers mait on the seal at the bottom as well. Whether this is needed, I don't know, but all installed and no leaks.

I was a bit worried about all the bad reviews but trust Grohe so took the plunge on The GROHE 65807000 pop waste. No idea why people complain… sure there’s no instructions but it’s not hard to figure out. Can only go one way really. There’s no top washer but you don’t need one! I did put a tiny dab of silicone around the top insert, a washer would stop it being flush! I give it 4 as there was no instructions but guess I could give it 6 for the same reason! Looks and works great. Took no time to fit, in fact it took way longer removing the old one than it did popping this in.

This is an excellent model but the fitting diagram is terrible. However I worked it out and it is working properly.

Bin von Bächlein umgestiegen, da dieser schon nach 1 Jahr nicht mehr funktionierte. Der Grohe Artikel ist etwas kürzer am Anschluss, darauf muss man achten, wenn man vorher einen längeren Anschluss hatte, sonst passt der Siphon evtl. nicht mehr. Verarbeitung macht aber einen deutlich wertigeren Eindruck als bei Bächlein.

Finitura brillante speriamo duratura, meccanismo da valutare nel tempo, grande pecca visto anche il costo elevato fiene fornita senza la guarnizione tra piletta e porcellana lato interno, al telefono mi hanno detto di mettere Gebomastic, potevano metterlo dentro la confezione...

C’est la seule bonde clic-clac qui s’adapte bien pour ma double vasques Sensea Moon et le meuble Sensea Remix (LM) me permettant ainsi la jonction des deux lavabos au T d’évacuation. La vis fournie est bien trop longue dans mon cas mais j’avais sous la main deux vis en inox plus courte qui convenaient. J’ai utilisé une pâte d’étanchéité pour le dessus de la bonde et réaffecté le joint en mousse qui était prévu initialement juste au dessus du joint pvc sous la vasque afin de parfaire le serrage, l’épaisseur de celle-ci étant à la limite de la tolérance.
