This was a perfect replacement on my 2003 Ford F-150 Snugtop camper shell. I could not find the original Suspa C16-16805 strut. The Suspa C16-20651 strut has all the same specs. Compressed and expanded dimensions are the same, fits 10mm ball just like my original. The only difference I could see is this strut is rated at 39 Lbs and my original was rated at 40 Lbs. Don't think the 1 Lbs makes a bit of difference, it works great and really easy to install.

The same brand that was sold with my LEER shell.Maybe I've had the depleted struts on for so long that I forgot how well they should work.You have to hold the glass door to slow the opening speed. They really pop open the door. Let's see how long they last.Installation time is about 10 minutes

on my purchase of a used truck LEER cap, the struts were worn out and glass entry lid wouldn't stay up. I got the number off the old ones and in item description for exact replacement part number in this add, it says 39 lbs on each shock, my old one said 40 lbs on it, I went ahead and ordered it and the new set arrived the next day and both of them labeled 40 lbs on them. Not sure why product description says 39 lbs but rest assured, they are 40 lbs just like the original. The lid works properly, like new which is what I was looking for.

Quick easy installation and great support for my LEER truck cap tailgate

These were easy to install and are holding well.

After many years of being knocked in the head by my canopy lift gate on my 2003 Ranger I finally had a bit of sense knocked into the noggin. I looked at the strut and took a image of the label. I looked here on Amazon and for $22 a pair I could end my suffering! I ordered, they arrived very very quickly, and I put them on this weekend. A perfect fit! Now it opens so unexpectedly swiftly I will have to beware of a chin slap! ha haFantastic quality and as I mentioned, A perfect fit. I used a flat screwdriver to wiggle the metal clip to the side and the old strut slipped right off with no hard force. The new one snapped right in! Pre-greased so I used a paper towel to wide of a little bit of ooze on one and good to go for another 14 years or so! Thank you for making a great product and easily identifiable for replacement (15 years later!) Also was very pleased to see it was made in USA!

One thing to check before ordering is the weight they hold. I put these on my truck cap they work fantastic but I certainly could have gone with the lower lift capacity. One thing is for sure you can drive down the road with it up and it does not blow shut.
