Advantus 2015 Grip-A-Strip Display Rail, 96 x 1 1/2, Aluminum Finish

We bought these to replace the cork boards throughout the office. The cork boards would get damaged and were messy over time. These rails streamline the items for a polished look, and when not full they are a minimal visual distraction. We now have them all over the office in various sizes for our safety posters, motivational items, etc. It is easy to mount the papers in the rail and they do not come out on their own. The only thing we have had to do is use some of that sticky tack stuff to hold down the bottoms of the papers to keep them from fluttering when people walk by if we are mounting letter size paper or smaller items that tend to angle out away from the wall. They have a very professional look.

I was unable to use this device to display my unfinished artwork on the walls of my studio. Anything but computer paper, either didn''t fit or got stuck and was difficult to remove without damaging the paper.

I recently attached a 96" Advantus Rail to my bedroom wall for drying/displaying multiple 19" x 13" prints.PROS:*Easily attached to wall studs, requiring only two of its four removable clamps to create a solid fit;*Takes up a small fraction of a cork board's space;*Pinholes not left in the print after removal;*Cost was less than a 96" cork board.CONS:*None, so far.The rail proving to be a very useful tool.

The design is ingenious and the product appears to be well built for the intended use. The satin finish is attractive and the unit is easy to install.I purchased one specifically for hanging wide prints. It works great for hanging paper, releasing the paper is as simple as lifting the paper upward and outward slightly - it comes right out.When hanging prints however, it's a challenge to get wide prints under the rollers for the entire width at once.A bit more troublesome, the rollers don't grip slick sheets such as digitally printed PVC film. I suspect laminated documents may suffer similarly. The issue doesn't appear to be the weight of the large prints - I confirmed this by flipping the print over and it gripped the reverse side / backing sheet just fine. If the rollers were textured a bit, the insufficient grip of slick sheets would probably be resolved.The 8' width may be intended for multiple smaller documents, but a minor redesign with a guide / ramp would make it easier to hang wide prints.

This item was very easy to hang - I thought it might be more difficult with how long it is. But it was easy and I got it level my first try. The display rail is exactly what I was looking for. I love being able to swap out memos or seasonal items in the conference room at work. It's more "industrial/functional" looking than I'd want for home use but maybe a crafty person could doctor it up and make it look nice in a home setting.It's holding different size documents (a laminated poster, a postcard, and a 4x6 photo) all at the same time none are slipping or falling out. Which is fantastic and just what you want! Just make sure you hang this in a spot you can easily reach whats on it to be able to pull item forward to get it to release from the rollers.

Disappointed in this product overall. It arrived with a ding and bend in it... not sever enough to return but certainly not perfect. Granted... it's long so I'm sure it's not easy to transport but packaging could have prevented this (maybe one of those hard cardboard tubes like our new carpet came rolled around?). Hanging it isn't so easy since you have to have a pretty flat wall ... which, over a 8 foot length may be harder to find than you would think. We thought the wall we were putting this on was pretty flat but it wasn't perfect... that combined with the bend in the product made from a less than ideal installation. Then the hangers are hidden behind top rail cover which makes them invisible when installed... but also invisible when trying to hang. On top of the disappointment with the condition of the product upon receipt, challenges hanging it... then, once you hang something form it, the "grip" on the paper or poster isn't all that great. Someone walking by can easily knock things out of it if it's in a higher traffic area and it's thinner and/or heavier. Conceptually, it is useful... in application (as well as delivery and installation), it leaves quite a bit to be desired. For the right use on very flat surface, it may be a decent option. It probably would have much less issues in shorter sizes (maybe 4 feet max).

Came damaged but still used it , I rigged it . The stickers used to hang did not hold to cinder block wall went in bought Velcro commando . Pictures hang very nice .

I purchased them for our school. We hung them throughout and it is wonderful for us teachers to be able to display our student's work so that the whole school can see the great job rather than just their classmates. The products is holding up well. It has been three years since we hung them.
