Restorer - The Best One Step Leather Conditioner and Cleaner for Furniture, Auto Interiors, Jackets, Purses, Boots, Sports Equipment, Saddles and Tack - 16 Ounce Bottle

Terrific product, which has cleaned our creme/beige leather sofa furniture beautifully. The leather had become stained from marker accidents and had acquired a much darker color over time, with some ugly discolorations due to water and sweat spots that had taken off some of its "patina" (aka dirt, I suppose). Actually, because the leather darkening happened over the years and very gradually, we hadn't really noticed it and first thought that some spills of liquid had "bleached" the leather before realizing that it had simply dissolved some of the acquired patina. European Leather Restorer has brought everything back to the initial color, the discolorations have completely disappeared, and the marker stains have mostly faded - and it has left the leather smooth and silky, but not shiny or oily and without drying it out (probably due to the conditioner part of the formula). Really amazing. I can only think of two "downsides" to using this product: (1) Once you start cleaning, you have to clean everything or the color change will be very noticeable (at least for light-colored leather with "patina", such as ours) - this will not only remove stains, but also bring back the original leather color. Therefore, as the saying goes, "test in an inconspicuous area first..." (2) Make sure you wipe off the product with clean paper towels or tissue once the dirt has dissolved in it and keep it away from areas that can become stained themselves - this happened to the light-colored seams in our case, which were getting much darker because they absorbed some of the dirt that had been taken up by the cleaner. In any case, we are planning on using this product from now on regularly to keep everything looking fresh and beautiful.

This is an excellent product. I have a lovely rich brown leather chaise lounge but live in the Southwest. I had failed to condition it and it looked rather white in places, old and tired. There was no damage to repair but my upholsterer thought I would need to re-upholster it. I looked at a lot of reviews of a lot of leather conditioners and settled on this one. The results were amazing. The chair looks like new - soft, supple, no overlay of white (or underlay - not sure what causes that). It is easy to use. I have only used it once and the result is already much better than I expected of any product. I have already sent emails to friends to recommend this product. It also polishes metal. I got some on a metal table next to the chair by accident and when I wiped it off, the metal gleamed. It is thin, goes on easily. I buffed it afterward with a very soft towel to make it gleam. Highly recommend.

We had just purchased a used black leather sofa via craigslist that needed a bit of TLC, so I came looking for a leather restorer on Amazon and found good reviews for this one. We bought it, and immediately after applying this product the sofa looked great: gleaming, evenly toned, almost good as new. In that regard, the product works great! But that was about 20 days ago now, and the couch is basically back to looking like its old, un-conditioned self. The faded spots have come back, and generally the effect of the leather restorer did not last as long as we would have liked, and we applied this stuff THOROUGHLY.So, my immediate reaction upon using this product would have been to give it 5 stars. 3 weeks later, I'm giving it 3. Maybe another coat would provide a cumulative effect that would last longer, but I am a little disappointed to see the fading coming back so soon.

This product works as advertised, it pulled the dirt out of the leather as well as conditioned it giving it that new leather luster! It was easy to apply (I used application pads ) and work into the leather.My only complaint is the smell, (which is why I wrote this review after all there are plenty that say it works well) at first I thought it was just my sense of smell, but when my husband arrived home as I was cleaning the leather couch, he asked who was sick?! It has a definite odor - exactly like someone threw up!! That nasty sour vomit smell. Luckily it quickly dissipates and you are left with a clean reconditioned piece of leather.So, if you aren't sensitive to odors I would recommend this product for your leather cleaning/conditioning needs!

I got a pair of 15-year old tan leather chairs from my dad that weren't in the best shape. They were dried out and stained, and smelled like his cat litter-abused home.I tried one application of European Leather Restorer on one of the chairs, and it made a tremendous difference. The chair no longer looks dried out, it looks very nice, and the dark stains on the arms and front edge of the seat have lightened considerably. The overall impact is the chair looks newer and more supple. Best of all, the awful cat smell is gone!The 16 ounce bottle was almost completely used up after I did the chair, but I had enough left over to treat my 13-year old leather motorcycle-style jacket. The jacket was dried out in several areas, but it's now soft and shiny, especially around the collar and on the edges of the cuffs where it had been dried out and worn. The Restorer won't bring back worn-off patches, but it will make them much less noticeable.I'm glad I got the Restorer, and have ordered the cleaner for preliminary use on the second leather chair which is heavily stained. We'll also get 2 more bottles of Restorer for the pair of chairs still at my dad's house.This is a good product and I recommend it.
