KeePass + YubiKey Edge => functional password security with two-factor authentication, whether a given website needs it or not
The YubiKey Edge works perfectly as a second authentication factor for KeePass. I've caught more than one person trying to shoulder-surf on me, and when they see me plug the YubiKey in, they watch what it does, and then they walk away quickly.Pro tip 1: unplug the YubiKey from the computer IMMEDIATELY on completion of a login sequence and put it in your pocket.Pro tip 2: Backups, backups, backups. If your YubiKey and password manager get out of sync somehow, you will not be able to log into your password manager without going to Recovery mode. Make a text file with the key sequence, and keep that text file on a USB drive that you can get to if you need to, but that very few others know exist. I've had it happen to me once, through my own ineptitude, and I was glad I'd backed up that key sequence...it's a lot easier to go through Recovery mode than it is to replace a large number of passwords on the fly.Pro tip 3: When you're configuring your YubiKey, doublecheck all your work before clicking the Write button, then take as many notes as you need before closing out the configuration manager. (See #2, above.) The software can only write configuration data TO a YubKey. The software can NOT read configuration data FROM a YubiKey. And if you need to make one change to the configuration, you will have to re-enter and verify all the data you had previously entered.

You Be more Secure with Yubi
Very simple packaging, just a reusable clear vinyl sleeve. The only instruction is to go to the YubiKey Edge webpage, which is just fine.Very solid construction, plastic and metal, looks like it'll last for years even if on a keychain.Set up is easy, for example, on Lastpass. Just go into your settings and enable the YubiKey, and done. Lastpass does require a Premium account at $12USD per year in order to use a YubiKey.Set up with Google is easy as well, they have a guided step by step tool for installation. No extra $$$ to use YubiKey with Google.YubiKey is the "what you have" part of two factor authentication. Your mobile phone can be used as well, but YubiKey doesn't rely on networks or batteries, or text message promptness...and you don't need to share your mobile number with anyone. This is an excellent tool to make your computing more secure without adding a lot of overhead to what you carry or your log on experience.

Barely Usable
Really really hard to press the button. It is recessed, usually hidden behind your computer or barely out the side of your monitor, and every time you want to use it you have to touch the little golden "y" with a finger for some inexplicable reason. Definitely a step down from RSA-type rotating number devices. Not ready for any kind of widespread usage at all. Just another poorly thought through security device.

I am aware this is my fault, but i ...
I am aware this is my fault, but i haven;t being able to use it. First, the services I wanted to activate it to are complicated, other thing is i wanted it for LastPass, but you have to pay LastPass a premium (Not yubiKey's fault, but it was why i bought it originally). Other thing is, I downloaded an application from the website that is supposed to detect-it and never did. Other people might have more luck.

Upgrades Last Pass
The key really upgrades the security to Last Pass. It could be priced a little bit less but, like I said it does upgrade your online Security with Password Vault, Last Pass.

Everyone needs this!
If you are concerned about computer or online security then buy this now! With the ability to hold two keys you can use this device to secure your computer and some online accounts with two factor authentication. A must nowadays. I use it to both log into my computer and access Gmail. Having a physical token helps ensure your data stays secure.Has a bit of a learning curve, but it's not that much considering that your data equals dollars. And their online support is great. Small and sturdy, this fob can fit on your key ring or chain. Its simplistic design can take abuse other number screen designs cannot.Save yourself the grief of stolen data/identity theft and get this now!

Great Way to Add Durable Two-Factor Authentication
The YubiKey does exactly what it says; it's highly configurable, lightweight, and durable. I have it on my regular keychain and I don't suspect it will give me any issues. At the moment I'm using it with LastPass, though I would like to set it up to work with Windows 10 (the issue is it does not work with a Microsoft Cloud account like an Outlook.com account, which is what I have--apparently it works with classic Windows accounts).

This thing is a waste of money
Where the heck is the support for this thing? Logging into YouTube asks me for this key but I don't bother because I use my phone texts to get in. This thing is a waste of money, and it doesn't always work when you plug it in and try to touch the button. It seems like a cool idea, but if you have a phone, just set up accounts with extra security with that.
