I like this product as I don’t like to fry my food. Worked the first time I used it. Unlike some items I have bought. Just a little fiddly to put together. Use it a lot.

This thing is pretty amazing - It's cooked everything I've needed quickly and perfectly. So far I've tried chicken breast, pork loin, potatoes, broccoli and bacon. From what I've experienced there's a couple things you need to keep in mind. Firstly, it doesn't really crisp up bacon, not quickly, anyway - the distance between the plates is a little too large to allow the bacon full contact, but the parts that do contact have a lovely grilled taste. Secondly, it doesn't deal well with variations in meat thickness, so if you're cooking something uneven like chicken breast, it's better to butterfly the larger end in order to even out the thickness. Cooking for the recommended times results in the food being decently cooked, I'd say for some dishes you might need to reduce the cook time by 10-15% or so, depending on your own preferences.It's amazingly easy to clean by hand too, the surface is the best non-stick surface I've ever used.My only regret is I didn't pay the £50 for the XL version. This one is just fine for doing a reasonable amount of grilling for one person, or a small amount for two people, though.

we saw this on the Philip Schofield thing before christmas, thought it would be great for quick and easy toasties which it is, I did think I would be taking it to the office but think we need to buy another for the office as we will be keeping the one at home.... My wife likes the fact that making a quick sausage sandwich does not create mess or smoke :o)

It works, just don't expect the same "cruchy" experience a traditional grill would give, a microwave can't dissipate the water as a toaster wouls do so the results will be more "wet" but I don't have to use another machine and this is what I needed. Doesn't work well with high bred such as panini. Set it to at least 2 minutes to get the plates hot.
