crl E.Z.D.glazer deglazing tool
I bought the CRL E.Z.D. deglazing tool (aka Pizza Cutter) for a broken window job and it worked great! Just because the window is broken doesn't mean you have to buy the whole window...you can buy the "IGU" unit but you need this tool to cut through the old butyl caulk. This tool is USA made with replaceable blade and has a hand guard to protect against cuts. This tool made the job go very smoothly and efficiently...strongly recommend it.

PERFECT TOOL.
This is the best tool ever invented for removing window glass. I can deglaze a window in 1/10th the time it used to take with a razor knife!! I would highly recommend this tool for every window and door service tech out there.

does not work well on vinyl windows with rubber strip on the edge (next to glass) just cuts the rubber and so far in every application it just breaks the glass... im going back to my carpet knife.. it works better

Don't hesitate buy this ASAP
Well if you've ever pulled an insulated glass unit without one of these you'll know the value as soon and you start using this guy! As others have said it's about 10x faster and a heck of a lot safer than using a putty knife or something you've rigged up to do the job. Absolutely can't imaging anyone using anything else, why did I wait this long to buy one??

WORTH THE MONEY!
When it comes to re-glazing a window, having one of these tools is a must. It makes cutting the silicone loose from the glass a breeze. No more wrestling with a utility knife for me.
