Travel Backgammon Set - Leatherette, Velvet Playing Field - 15-inch, Black/Grey

I am an avid backgammon player; and with today's apps (I do enjoy) but nothing beats the real rolling of the dice... feeling the smooth cubes in your hand, hearing the clicking as the dice hit each other, and then the "knowing" beyond a shadow of a doubt, that when those dice hit the backgammon board, no computer trickery was involved, and that just can't be beat! The board is as it is discribed, well made. It can be used for travel and for home use; it has wonderful tight compartments, so nothing moves around once you store it away. I didn't give it 5 stars because I didn't feel that it was beautiful or colorful, like some I've seen. But what it lacks in beauty, it makes up for in practicality. The directions are hard to read...written in orange text with a white background and the wording seems to be translated into English poorly. Other than that, it's PERFECT!

The quality presented was much higher than the overall product. One of the dice was made incorrectly and represents 5 instead of 4 (see picture) completely unacceptable for a game that uses it on each roll. The pieces are light and cheap and the locks are flimsy. Overall not happy with the purchase and would return if i still had the packaging.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend (ok, and me). We both enjoy a nice game of backgammon or cribbage on a regular basis. I searched for a reasonably attractive set with a felt board - I prefer felt over wood or other hard material and leather was out of my price range. This appears to be well made and folds up easily for storage or travel. My only minor complaint is that the pieces are very light plastic, and I would personally prefer if they were a bit more substantial.

This set is really beautiful. The case is very attractive, the handle and clasps seem good and solid. The inside is very nice, there is a tiny gap between the various materials maybe just a mm or so, I would have preferred to have that a little tighter but I’m pretty particular. The playing pieces are really beautiful and have a really good feel and weight. All in all I think it’s very nice.

I’ve used this game about 4 times a month for the last 2 years. It’s holding up extremely well. No problems with the case, felt, chips, or dice. I would have given 5 stars, but the dice seem too light weight.

Beautiful! This is my first Backgammon purchased on-line and I am not disappointed.
