Tight fit at first, but effective.
This brush appears to be quite well made in comparison with some other brands I’ve used. However, just be aware that this thing is a TIGHT fit at first. I was afraid for moment that I had gotten it stuck in the cylinder, and was concerned about using that much force with steel on steel, but after working with a just a bit, it seemed to break in a little and was manageable. It scraped out some stubborn leading I had gotten from testing some new cast projectiles in short order, and I didn’t notice any unusal signs of scratching on the cylinder. If you shot cast lead bullets (factory or handloads), you should really consider giving this a try.

It really works!
It does an excellent job cleaning lead deposits in the barrel near the forcing cone. It's not called the Gunsmith's Friend for nothing, it really works where a bristle bore brush isn't as effective. I recommend it!

A must for revolver cylinders.
Absolutely love these for cleaning out my cylinder bores on my wheel guns. No bronze staining and they work so well on the lead rings. If you shoot 3-5 hundred rounds of a 9mm semi it won't hurt your barrel to run this through a couple times to get the lead and copper out of your rifling. And again no bronze staining.i know some will disagree, but I'm pretty sure the steel of a gun barrel is a better quality and strength than that of a brush.

Works well.
Great for scraping lead out of chambers. I have a batch of really foul ammo and this is the best remedy so far.

Perfect, Durable Chamber Brush for .38/.356 Revolver
I mostly shoot .38 special out of my .357 and the shorter case fouls the neck of the chamber. The phosphor-bronze brushes I was using to clean the cylinder were not doing the job and were falling apart. This brush perfectly cleans the chamber and looks like it will last. The steel bristles appear to be gentle enough as well.

Excellent as long as you use it just as a chamber brush.
I use this to remove the chamber residue after shooting 38 specials in a 357. It fits tightly and a few twisting strokes scours the residue out extremely well. However it's a push through all the way, then pull back through all the way process. Don't even think of pushing it in part way and extract as it is too stiff to do that with.I also advise against using it on the barrel. I suspect the fit might be so tight it would bend the bristles, thus ruining it as a chamber brush.

bad crimping
The brush separates from the treaded holder the first time it's used.I tried 3 different Pro-Shot brushes and the all did the same thing. The fit is so tight that you must twist to move the brush through the chamber.Don't waste your money buy another brand
