Who knew I needed a tool
This was super easy with needle-nose pliers in lieu of the right tool. The packaging said we could turn it a 1/4 turn and pull it out. Nope. But use the pliers in those little divots, and it's easy as can be.

The Sub Zero Mfg and is cheaper.
We had our Sub Zero ice machine serviced and the tech said that this mfg also makes the Sub Zero brand. He said do NOT buy imitations. They will cause problems. This brand is less than the Sub Zero too.
