Is it an alternative to Lamy pens? no, absolutely not, but does it give you an idea of the feeling, YES, a 100 times YES.Compared to Lamy Safari:1. the material feels a bit cheap and light2. the nib is not as smooth3. the design is exactly the sameStandalone, as a ~300INR pen:1. the pen feels sturdy2. the nib writes really good and the flow is great3. it comes with a converterIf you deal with FPs, you'll know that the comfort of holding a pen comes from the body and the writing feel comes from the nib. So, if you are like me who wants to get a Lamy Safari/AL Star/LX, but don't know if you'll like it, try your hands on this. I figured a lot of things which I would like and dislike about the Lamy Safari and yes, I was right about all of them when I held an actual Lamy Safari (owned by a friend). Of course the Lamy nibs are gonna be superior to this, but for this price point I felt that the nib was amazing, even better than either of the two Parker Vectors I own.If you want a cheap alternative to Lamy Safari/AL Star/LX, GET THISIf you want a cheap pen of great quality, GET THISWill I suggest this to a FP beginner on a super tight budget? Its a really good pen, whether you are a beginner or a fountain pen collector. More like the Honda Activa scooter, you’d want one even if thats the only vehicle you have or its standing next to your Ferrari. Throw it in your backpack, or your pant pockets with keys, you’ll be okay. Writes really well, a bit on the wetter side so I’d suggest to use a dry ink such as the Pelikan 4001.

Definitely needed a thorough cleaning before started functioning properly. It did not appear to have been used before. Build quality is objectively cheap but the nib glides over paper. Might need to be cleaned if you have issues with ink flow. Dont expect to carry it around because it looks like a knockoff. OK to sit at home and be used as an occasional driver or if you need a different pen to try a new ink.

It's not light weight, it's perfect i weight as it should be.. writing is also smooth. I personally love silver colour metal hence is awesome for me

Nicely packed in a box, however the pen seemed substandard and scratched. The ink feeder mechanism is not as shown in the images. I have posted the pictures showing the same.Most of all the pen DOES NOT WORK!! needs cleaning and re-inking. Hope it works after that!!

Just one word.. Majestic!Note: Use it with a dry ink as it is a very wet pen. Go for chrome colour and maintain properly.
