I highly recommend it
Great work gloves—sturdy and reliable. I needed something that fits well, has a tough protective coating (these have leather), and doesn’t restrict hand movement. They survived a garage teardown and should last even longer, though they’re on standby for now—I don’t demolish garages that often.

Great gloves-
Best gloves I have ever had for work. Last a long time and can just wash them with the laundry.

Great gloves for diy jobs
The Mechanix Wear Original Work Gloves are absolutely fantastic! I’ve been using them for a variety of tasks—everything from DIY projects to working on my car—and they have held up incredibly well. The synthetic leather provides great durability without sacrificing flexibility, making them comfortable to wear for extended periods. The fit is perfect (I ordered the medium), and the secure wrist closure keeps the gloves snugly in place, so I don’t have to constantly adjust them while working. I especially love the fact that they’re touchscreen capable, which allows me to use my phone or tablet without taking the gloves off—a huge convenience. The gloves provide excellent protection without feeling bulky, and the material is tough enough to withstand heavy use while still being breathable. Whether I’m handling tools, lifting materials, or doing more delicate work, these gloves provide the perfect balance of dexterity and toughness.Overall, the Mechanix Wear gloves are durable, versatile, and comfortable. If you need a reliable pair of gloves for any kind of work, these are an excellent choice. Highly recommend.

These made my husband, oddly happy
Solid work gloves at a decent price. I’m almost offended at how much he liked them. By this, I mean, he liked them more than some of the expensive gifts he got. These are almost a toss away idea and he loved them! The quality is good, the fit is good and they are keeping his hands warm while he’s handy in cold weather.

Bling for the workshop/pit area
Mechanix Original Glove, Black, Large, 2012 EditionI just purchased these in early February 2012, so the design, description, and review is current as of the date. This is my third pair of Mechanix Original Gloves. I still have the Mechanix Off-Shore Oil Rig worker gloves that I use for skateboarding and outdoor sporting activities, and I had tried a pair of Mechanix M-Pact gloves but I didn't like those. The first pair of Mechanix Original gloves I had were from 2007. Those wore out fairly quickly but I kept sewing the holes in the fingers to prolong their useful life. I bought another pair in 2009, and the main differences were in the use of 65% Nylon / 35% Polyurethane all around the fingers. With the older 2007 pair, Mechanix used a more durable material on the sides of the fingers and those lasted 5 years without wearing down. But the 65/35 simulated leather was wearing down fast. With the 2009 pair, Mechanix changed the wrist strap to use more thermoplastic for protection, and the hook/loop material was changed. The hook material (stiff Velcro) is a more modern shortened material that tends to last longer. With these 2012 gloves, I noticed Mechanix changed the font on the back of the gloves and revised the wrist strap yet again. The thermoplastic is now much thicker and there is a space to write your initials/name on the ID: part of the wrist strap. The simulated leather material remained the same.I really like the Mechanix gloves because they are washable and I get a lot of grip/feeling with these. That said, I also am guilty of buying the less expensive knock-offs at Harbor Freight or the local store to use as shooting gloves or for wrenching. I generally use the Mechanix gloves when I am at work or in a professional shop environment - let's say I feel it is more like "bling" for the shop. But I don't discount the Mechanix quality, it's just that they all seem to wear out at the same rate, and they all provide the same level of low-impact protection. In the end, and to be brutally honest, the Mechanix gloves cost more for the name and branding. This is also why I am starting to like the Fast Fit gloves more because the knock-off brands don't seem to have that design. They imitate the original style more often.Overall: 4/5 stars, the most commonly used pair of gloves in the shop - kind of pricey, knock-offs seem to do the same job at a lower price, the 65/35 simulated leather tends to wear out quickly, and the Velcro straps are annoying when you need to take them off quickly. I would recommend looking at the Fast Fit gloves.

Women's size in men's
I have worn Mechanix gloves since 1999. I worked in the construction trade pulling telecom, so a glove are/were a necessity. I had only ever found one pair of women's size small ever. I lost them about 2 years ago. So one pair lasted over 20 years. Leaving the others in the dust on quality, comfort, and sustainability. I couldn't even find a women's size small on the manufacturers website. Following the sizing chart the closest I could get was a men's size xsmall. Which is always out of stock as well. I hence ordered a men's size xx-small and I have not had a glove fit better. The fingers are normally way to long ithe fongers, but these are not. They are a little short in the palm, but with a little wear and tear I feel they will stretch slightly allowimg them to fit snug. Follow the size chart and you won't be displeased. The point is for women if you can't find your size in women's size down 2 sizes in men's and you shouldn't be disappointed. I will and am a lifelong Mechanix brand supporter.

Only gloves I buy
They are not super protective and they might get damaged if they do protect you. That is why I love them bc you will actually keep them on your hands instead of taking them off like you would other bulky gloves. I like the OG ones but I have some other colors. They saved my thumb from the grinder- bc I keep them on! Only gloves I buy
