Very good protection
I wanted to have a protective cover for my new 596 unit and purchased it through Amazon for the best price & no S/H fees. Cover is great, fits snug and offers the protection I wanted. Well worth the money for it.

Item is Black
Black not white. Mine came in 4/10/14 and it was black. Would have chosen black if it was a choice so I'm happy. Black with silver writing. Looks real clean with other electronics in the boat. Perfect fit. Seams like the rubber on the control head and suction make for real good fit and it won't come off while trailered.

Works perfectly
It fits perfectly on my 698si. I'm not sure how durable it is of of the unit but its pretty solid when its on the unit, which is its main job. Thumbs up.

Can't believe you have to buy this as a add on!
This should come with the finder when u buy it meaning it should be in the box with the finder when you open the box for the first time.....come on humminbird!!otherwise it does what it's supposed to do

This is great for me because I use my FF on multiple ...
It fits well, snug but not too hard to remove. This is great for me because I use my FF on multiple kayaks and move the unit between them. When not in use my FF is stored in a big crate with all of my gear. The protection to the screen is definitely worth the cost to me.

Humminbird Cover
Cover was for a Humminbird 598ci. It fits the unit snugly and covers it very nicely. If no cover comes with your Humminbird I would recommend this cover to protect the screen and buttons.It arrived on the date specified without any issue.

Unit called for uc-5 cover which I don't like because not water proof
This hard cover didn't fit my helix 5 did monitor. Waited to long to install unit before trying to fit . Apparently I'm stuck with uc-3 cover. Unit called for uc-5 cover which I don't like because not water proof. Not plastic. Like a mesh/vynl cover.
