Perfect for my homemade console
I welded up a center console for my 84 CJ7. I have a dual battery setup and needed power ports run from the second battery as well as a second volt meter. This was perfect. Now I have a 12V socket and two USB plugs, plus a volt meter that reads the second battery since the one in the dash only reads the primary battery. I wired the 12V socket to be "hot" all the time, but wired the USB plugs and volt meter through the included toggle switch. Otherwise they would be hot all the time and drawing power, even with nothing plugged in to them. So I can simply flip the switch to get a reading on the second battery and/or to power up the USB plugs. The rubber covers are also great in a Jeep for when the top is off and you get caught unexpectedly in a shower.

almost perfect for RZR?
I planned to replace my 12v cigarette plug on my RZR to something I'd actually use like this. Simply pull the dash (open hood, 2x t40 torx bolts under the hood, dash is secured with clips facing towards the rear). Pulled 2 wires off the factory cig outlet, then push that factory cig outlet from the dash.First problem; the new unit's + or - wire post/tab is not the same size as the factory one. The factory one has one small tab, one normal tab. the New unit is both normal-sized so the wiring will not fit. 2 choices here: cut and rewire the factory wire, or cut this new units tab down to fit. I chose to cut the new units tab down. the factory did a nice job with wiring here, so I didn't want to undo their work.second problem; the hole left from the factory 12v outlet is just slightly too small to fit this plug. I might have been able to force it, but instead, I used a drum bit on a Dremel and lightly cleaned up the dash hole to fit.overall 5 min job turned into 15 mins after searching for tools and bits.

A great way to modernize
I drive a 1988 Toyota Land Cruiser, and since I don't smoke, the only thing I've ever used my cigarette lighter socket for is charging phones and small electronics. With nearly all small electronics now using the USB standard to charge, I went ahead and ordered this with the intention of replacing my cigarette lighter socket. Installation took a little work since I had to enlarge the hole in the dash, and due to it being recessed (just the design of my truck) I had to trim down four edges of the outer bezel of the charger itself and couldn't use the dust cover. But it tucks in nicely and has proven very handy and reliable in the month I've been using it extensively. My phone is not QC 3.0 compatible, but still uses fast charging, so it charges up well with this. My new phone I just ordered uses QC 3.0 so I'm curious to see how well it charges up. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase. Took a little extra work to install the way I wanted it, but I'm happy with the near-stock appearance I achieved.

Seems like a good product but the reading is consistently low
Seems like a good product but the reading is consistently low. At 10v it reads 9.75, at 12v it reads 11.7 and at 14v it reads 13.7. I’ve checked it against multiple volt meters.

Works well and charges fast.
Installed this power socket in my old 2002 Honda CRV to replace the cigarette lighter/power socket in the front of the vehicle. Installation was very simple and I did not have to make any modifications to any of the plastic trim pieces. Fit like a charm. The hardest part of the whole install was figuring out how to disassemble my vehicle trim pieces! Once installed in the trim piece I simply plugged in the stock connectors from the cigarette lighter, reinstalled all the dash trim pieces, started the car, and the blue LED of the Cllena socket was there. After that I plugged in the charging cable for my iPhone into the QC 3 USB and my phone charged very, very quickly.I have purchased two more of these power sockets to install in my 2011 Honda Ridgeline. Very pleased. I wish, however, the Cllena would sell a dual power socket where both USBs were QC 3. I have found one seller on Amazon with that product. Also, I'm beginning to wonder if all the sellers of this type of dual power socket (2.4A and 3.0A) sell the exact same product? Even the pictures on Amazon are exactly the same. Same manufacturer in China?UPDATE: I contacted YonHan about their power sockets that look exactly like those offered by Cllena. The YonHan folks wrote that the Cllena and YonHan products are the same. The only difference is the price is LOWER for the YonHan! I will be contacting Cllena for a price adjustment.

Nice unit - but read this!
Unit has nice appearance and functions well. I installed it in my golf cart - it has worked without fail.A word of caution - the circuitry is loaded in from the back end of the unit. It snaps in and is not held in place with much strength. It takes little force to push the circuitry out from behind and it necessitates removing the unit to reinstall the circuit board and connector. The fix is simple - just glue the attachment points with super glue or equal. No more problem.

Smooth Installation in 2006 Ford Focus ZX4
I installed this in a 2006 Ford Focus, replacing the stock cigar lighter. With a little help from Youtube, I removed the radio/HVAC console bezel, liberated the cigar lighter, crimped the included quick connect terminals to the orphaned electrical wires, installed the charger module in the lighter mounting hole (without drama,) plugged the wires onto said module (minding polarity, of course) and pressed the bezel back into place. All in all, I spent about 45 minutes -- 35 minutes of research and mental preparation, 10 minutes of actual work. The product has served me faithfully for about a month now. I'm definitely getting a fast charge on my Samsung S7, but I cannot verify which charging spec is being used. Assuming my phone is QC 2.0My only concern relates to the LED backlight. My lighter circuit is always powered, meaning that LED is always lit. It's winter now; so far, the constant 15-20 mA drain hasn't left me unable to start my car. Letting the car sit for a few days, in cold weather, I fear could lead to a problem.

Professional installation recommended.
No wiring diagram. No wires included. Some connectors are not the right size but they still work.
