Best backpack
Best bag ever. It’s perfect for what I need, flexible fabric, foldable, soft straps. I use it for anything extra I need to carry and for any long day trips or walking/hiking. I put extra stuff won’t work on it and use it when I go to my physical therapy appointments. Fits water bottles and has a lot of extra pockets . I am beyond satisfied. They had a deep red/maroon color that I hope they bring back. I have the green one and I am very happy with the color but may want to buy another just because I like it so much

Packs small, works great!
Super packable, condenses nicely. I used mine on day hikes when traveling for about six years, and it was still going (I had to switch to a fanny pack due to a shoulder injury.) It holds water, sunscreen, bug spray, snacks and a hoodie just fine. Mine held up well, even when often I fully packed it. It has a great little inner zipper security pocket. The only wear was the silkscreen name wore off after a few years, no biggie.

External side pockets not for water bottles. A good buy.
Purchased: Directly from W&ASize: 33 LPrice: $19.98Delivery time: Average compared to similar purchasesShipping: Fulfilled by AmazonOwnership: More than a weekProduct condition: I would say defective in its built.1.In the package: The backpack comes folded into its inner pouch. It is packed neatly. The backpack in the pouch just comes in plastic bag. Nothing special to say about the product packaging.2.Built: Nylon is the material used by Outlander to make the backpack. The nylon seems to be of very good quality. It is a bit waterproof. I spilled water inside the backpack, and I did not notice it until I opened the backpack. The stitching of the bag is very good. I inspected the seams, and I did not find any mistake. The backpack is very light in weight. The Outlander has no internal structure, so if the backpack is not completely full, it will be a bit difficult to keep it organized because everything will move inside the backpack very easily. DEFECT: I see as a defect the fact that one of the external side pockets has a wider opening than the other. The pocket with the wider opening seems to have an expired elastic. The other pocket has a narrower opening, but the elastic is still loose. What that meant to me? I put a Contigo aluminum water bottle in the side pocket with the narrower opening. The side pocket did cover a very good part of the bottle. I hung the backpack on just my right shoulder with the water bottle in the side pocket, and then I starter to walk. A minute later, the aluminum bottle came out of the side pocket, and it hit concrete. Now, I have a Contigo water bottle with a huge dint in it.3.Compartments : The smallest compartment at the front is just a bit small. The zipper line of the front compartment is a bit narrow, and it is a bit hard to get things in and out of it. The other two compartments are very spacious. Nobody will have any problem putting a lot of things in the backpack. I have a Jansport backpack that I used for comparison. When holding the same amount of things I frequently carry, the Jansport is tight while the Outlander has a lot more room left. That makes it easier for me to get things in and out of the backpack.4. Comfort: It is comfortable. The straps that go around the shoulder are soft and wide enough. The low weight of the backpack also contributes to its comfort, at least in my case.5. Seller: W&A seems to be an excellent company. After the sale is made, the keep in touch for a while, and are very interested on how satisfied is the customer with the purchase. They also let the customer know about how thank full they are for the purchase. W&A are also very interested in letting every customer know exactly what they are getting. For me, it is important that a company is very open about every detail of what the product offers so that the client can make the best purchasing decision. On top, just in case any mistake is made, they offer a good guarantee.OVERALL I would say the backpack is very good. It is what the company says it is. It is spacious and very low weight. It is convenient to be able to fold it into a pouch. The side pockets are always a worry. One has to be careful that nothing comes out of them. The side pockets are not good for water bottles. Since the side pockets' opening are so wide and loose, it is very important not to put anything of value in them, because you never now when a pocket picker is near you.Update ( Dic 2016 ): The backpack has turned out to be a good backpack. The only exception would be the zipper from the small front pocket. The stitching for the zipper line became undone. The zipper came off, and this made it impossible to close the front pocket. I contacted W&A, and the company immediately solved the problem by sending a new backpack. They stood by their word of a lifetime warranty. This adds a lot of value to anybody who decides to buy from W&A. A very good product from a great company should make very easy any purchasing decision.

Great!!!
I have 4 of these for the whole family. I’ve been using them for 2 years and they are still in good shape. I am rough on them. I travel with these as my personal item and had no issues. I recently bought another more expensive backpack to “upgrade “ for travel, but brought these along just in case since they are so lightweight. I ended up just using these again. My only complaint is that the straps are not padded. , but great for the price. I highly recommend them.

Durable, easy pack, lightweight backpack
This backpack has been on every continental and international trip. Stores easily, very sturdy material, holds up in multiple washings, carries a huge amount in all zipper pockets, adjustable straps. We've had it for more than 7 years and it's still going strong!

Great lightweight pack
It fits a sweatshirt, book, snacks, water bottles, and more. Has multiple pockets and doesn’t hurt your shoulders like a drawstring bag.

Large, lots of pockets, light weight.
Great for travel - I love the large capacity, numerous pockets and light weight. This version has a cord to keep the water bottle in place - an improvement over a previous model that I purchased.

Cute but flimsy
I worry that I'll rip a seam! I fill this bag with a water bottle, a coffee cup, a few protein shakes, a change of clothes, toiletries, etc. It all fits just fine, but the material is thin and the seams are easily strained. I don't trust the strength of the zippers, either. 🤷♀️
