Kokkari

I am an avid cookbook collector/reader/cook and having bought this book last week, I have to declare it to be my current favorite. The book itself is beautiful - gorgeous photos of the restaurant and the food. I have already tried a number of the recipes and they are all excellent. Some of the best flavors and food I have ever made. I do not say that lightly - high praise for this book indeed. And must for those who like Greek food. 5 stars.

Great cook book and great eye candy! Makes we want to fly out there just for this restaurant!

This is an awesome cookbook! It's beautiful to look at,and the background stories are a delight to read. Excellent information about ingredients and preparation techniques. And the recipes! From Greek classics to grilled dishes to wonderful vegetables and sides, each recipe is a mouth-watering delight. I'm thinking of planning a trip to San Francisco just to eat at the restaurant. In the meantime, I'm starting to work my way through one fantastic recipe to another.

This cookbook contains recipes for things that seem accurate and consistent with the flavors I seek in Greek food. Nothing odd, no strange ingredients, good technique. I am very happy.

Since I am of Greek descent I was curious of this cookbook, but it is great. And, my family and I will be going to one of their restaurants soon.

just a couple of recipes tested and most of them 'tasted' while reading!!!! Looking forward to moving on with cooking.

This book has outstanding recipes with a healthy Greek style a must...........in every kitchen. I simply love it!!!Also if you have the chance visit the Kokkari Restaurant in San Francisco.

Kokkari is my favorite restaurant in San Francisco. I love the elegant dinig room and the rustic execution of amazing mediteranen food. I had my wedding party there so I decided to mark the occasion by purchasing the cookbook.Initially, the recipes appeared intimidating, however, once I jumped in and started cooking, they were pretty simple.,Most recipes I have tried have come out close to what the restaurant serves.I love the zuccini cakes with yogurt dressing and the salads have become weekly staples. My favorite is the grilled lamb riblets. I did a dinner party for my Greek friends which was so great , even i was suprised.I would recommend this cookbook (and I am picky about my cookbooks) because there are many easy, healthy weekday choices, great photos so you know what the finished dish should look like and beautiful choices for entertaining.
