Bright. Limited settings. Great quality at lower price
Bright and beautiful. Easy setup. Legs simply slide in. It is quite bright so make sure that is what you want. Limited settings but for $72 on the 48” you’re getting the red leds. Worth it. I use a smart plug with my Amazon Alexa system to turn it on and off. Just an idea! There is no remote control so I am not sure why it makes me rate that. I’d you want a remote control go for 24/7 models or the Current USA Satellite Plus

Great LED light!!
I love this led light for the money! Crisp and bright, really lights up my tank end to end! Razor thin design is great, can barely see it from afar. It gets hotter on the top of it more than I thought it would for an LED but I have a glass lid on my tank and it doesn’t affect the temp of the water at all. I like the blue moonlight option as well. Overall for the money this is a great light! I like the clear end legs, they attach to my frame perfectly! I am not sure how they would fit on a frameless tank. I did purchase the 48” one.

Slim and Effective LED Lighting
The Stingray 2 lighting is perfect for my non-planted 55 gal. cichlid tank. This replaced an old school twin bulb fluorescent setup with bad ballasts that I considered repairing. Glad I didn't! It looks nice, lights up well, and is easy to move out of the way when attempting to catch cichlids to donate to other enthusiasts. I had no desire to pay extra for a remote control to play around with weird color combinations, so this price point was exactly what I was looking for in basic lighting. I am expecting the quality to be good as I tend to hang on to things for a long time, and have been burned by buying the least expensive solutions before. I definitely wanted the conformal coating on the circuit board as I have repaired enough pc boards over the years to tell the difference of boards not coated. I would have traded the blue LEDs for white LEDs, as I am not a big fan of the Moonscape lighting look (Stingray 3 anyone??)

Simple to install, bright, 'moonlight' option (manual switch), cord too short
I owned a previous version of this light from Finnex and really liked it...but over time (years) it got dimmer and dimmer. It was time to replace it. I like the way the legs attach to this newer version better than the older one. Size, shape, style are attractive. Light is wonderful. But, the cord is too short. Anyone with common sense knows if you have a cabinet and then the 75 gal tank on it, you are looking at up to 54" from floor to top; then add from center of tank to edge where the cord meets the light, plus a few inches to center over the top (width)....well, a stubbly little power box cord connecting to a short cord to the light just doesn't work. My older finnex had a longer cord that attached directly to the power box...much smarter. Finnex; add at least 2 feet to the cord!! If someone has a shorter height/width tank, they can wrap the cord behind or in the cabinet. If you need to, add $3.00 to the cost. Good grief. I don't like that I had to plug this unit into an extension cord to get it to the power outlet in my cabinet, or the wall near the floor outlet!! Other than that, very happy with this. Easy to use set up...no complicated programming.

Brightest/Best LED I’ve found!
This is the best, most reasonably priced aquarium LED on Amazon. Over 5 years ago, I bought a heavily planted aquarium from Craigslist. It came with a Finnex LED and a variety of live plants (all of which were thriving) and the aquascaping job was beautiful. The previous owner clearly knew what they were doing. That was the first time I came across this brand. I had forgotten the brand name but desperately wanted to know for future setups because it was the brightest aquarium light I’ve seen. Thankfully, I figured it out. It’s Finnex. I’ve also used the NICREW brand on Amazon. If you don’t have live plants that are very light-demanding, then the NICREW is a great alternative for half the price (NICREW will still work for low light plants). Overall—I highly recommend Finnex. It is clearly the more premium light out of the two and probably the best and brightest aquarium LED I’ve seen. Please click “Helpful” if this helped!

Glad I Finally Bought It!
I waited awhile before I purchased this light. I have the 46" and it fits the 55 gal tank nicely. I don't mind that the Stingray 2 isn't black as the product itself is amazing. Its' sleek slim design remakes your tank into a work of art. Stingray 2 offers the moonlight mode of which the original Stingray had not had. Also, this light offers plant growth of which I had dying plants before using only two florescent bulbs. The lighting it provides the tank both on day mode and moonlight mode is absolutely stunning. I cannot keep my eyes off of it when I'm home, it's just absolutely beautiful.

Amazing light!
I love this light. It's completely bright enough and a fantastic deal on price! It was bent during shipping, I took some photos of that incase it didn't work, but I plugged it up and it worked fine. I asked my boyfriend to try to unbend the light so I wouldn't have to return it (I know it's not the sellers fault, but rather the shipping company to blame for the obviously damaged box which lead to the light being bent.) and he was able to unbend it and it works perfectly! I can't stop watching my fish now. It's like I have a whole new tank setup!

Not only good for planted aquariums also good for starting seeds
I had this light for a planted aquarium, which I no longer have it worked fine, I now use it to grow my seedlings as a grow light works great

Super thin, very bright, night time mode
Fantastic aquarium lights! Finnex makes quality lights and this one is outstanding at growing any plant even if it demands high light. it mimics the sun. Great red diodes, red helps plants grow and this is a full spectrum light! It’s a must purchase in my opinion! You won’t regret spending a few extra dollars for something that will last a very very long time. I love finnex led lights!

Good for fish, bad for plants
Nice bright light for showing fish, but all my plants died. They show you the spectrum of the light and everything, but the plants don't seem to like LEDs as much as they like fluorescents.
