Great Device for Determining Reactions to Allergants
This is my 3rd device. I would not be without it, despite its limited battery life.I use it every day to monitor the air quality in my house, my lawn and my environment.I have found key correlations between my wife's reactions to her allergies and the air quality to which she is exposed. This has led us to better choices in HVAC air filters and other life choices. With daily charging and monitoring multiple times per day, I have found the devices work for about a year; however, the cost of a new device per year pales in comparison to the improved quality of sleep and ease breathing my wife has each day over that year.

New to this but works very well
I had been having serious allergies / respiratory issues that my OTC meds hadn't really been keeping at bay, and researched air quality monitors to maybe get an idea if we had issues in the house or what / where was worst affecting me. I then was reminded of air purifiers being a thing and got one of those which has more or less completely helped me, but I still got one of these monitors because the knowledge seems useful. It's only app driven, there's no interface or readout on the device itself although I believe the light will give some basic indications, like if quality is very bad. The app is fantastic though. I do wish they broke down what is usually found in the different categories of tests (PM1 etc.) but that's easy to look up.Aside from air quality, the temperature monitor and humidity monitor are useful to see if some of your house isn't getting airflow or something like that.

$130-$150 is the appropriate price for this
Update: I previously wrote that they lost their minds when someone thought they should charge $300-400 for this thing and informed them I was on my way to buy a replacement for my first one that spazzed on accuracy after about a year (waaay high readings, replaced a bunch of stuff in the house before realizing it was this thing dying). Even bought a different brand and hated the refresh rate on it bc it takes the average of the last 35 minutes to give you a number it claims is current AQ. It lies. Air thingies 😉 need to have the current instant readings that Atmotube has. However, I would buy a professional Mini Rae PID before I spend $400 on something that's not going to last more than a year or two. They might be $4k but it's going to last 10+ years. They don't connect to phones though bc they're for hazmat professional usage lol. So that's the advantage Atmotube has. The app really needs better graphs, the scale they use is insane sometimes. Like no way of seeing the pattern when you are zoomed in that close but if you be switch to seeing everything for the last day (zoom out) you can't see the pattern either. They need to adjust the y axis and include maybe 4 hour increments instead of either an hour or the day.The other monitors for sale for $300 in another very well known and also reputably pricy as heck brand. It seems marketed towards people who have a lot of spare change considering their air filters are something like $540 a year for just the refills for ONE filter unless you find it aftermarket. Normally people aren't willing to drop that much, but they have corporate clients because it's professional healthcare grade. Atmotube started price matching this air quality monitor they are selling at one point and I really hope they don't go back to that. Lots of people enjoy their products but we don't have $400 a year to buy replacement monitors when they malfunction. I do have ~$100ish and for the instant readings and my absolute mess of an indoor air situation, it's been worth that much for me.

Sensitive & Convenient
I've had the Atmotube Pro for a few weeks now, after looking at several other options to monitor air quality in my small wood shop. I've noticed that reviews of other sensors on Amazon have claimed a sensor is accurate, without offering any proof by, say, comparing the sensor to a known calibrated standard. That doesn't give me much confidence However, if you are interested in accuracy, search online for AQ-SPEC Summary Tables (Amazon doesn't allow URLs in reviews). That will take you to a webpage maintained by the South Coast AQMD that shows tests of a variety of low-cost air quality sensors. Their tests are run against lab calibration standards and field comparisons to very expensive calibrated sensors. The Atmotube ranks quite well - better than the Dylos, a popular, though now outdated, low-cost sensor. In fact, the Atmotube ranks pretty well against the very expensive lab sensors. That gave me enough incentive to spring for the Atmotube. The Atmotube has good battery life, roughly 8-10 days or so if you're only capturing data every 15 min. That goes down to about 1.5 days if you're capturing every minute. Of course you can just leave it plugged into power if you want to monitor for long periods of time. The smartphone interface is nice. It shows you plots of air quality including PM1, PM2.5 and PM10 vs time. And you can download the data to your computer. So far its been quite useful for figuring out the main sources of dust in my shop, and how fast my air cleaner can get rid of it. And in my house it's opened my eyes to what frying fish can do to the air quality. It seems to be quite sensitive - registering the effects of cooking even while the sensor is 30ft away in my den.

Requires a continuous connection to your phone
Works, but it doesn’t store data even for a few hours — you must keep your phone continuously connected to the monitor for any time you want data. iPhones don’t like to do this and will drop the connection after a little while of running the app in the background. They could probably work around this by making their app collect locations also, but it would be better if the Atmotube would store a days worth of data and download it when you connect.

Simple, easy to understand
Although a bit pricey this item gives quick results via cell phone, keeps (spotty) records and can be carried wherever you go. There are no calibrations required. My wife has severe allergy problems and is very sensitive to air quality. This device quantifies her perceptions and gives her peace of mind. It has an alarm function if air becomes too bad.
