Not quite as good as the original version - still excellent value for money
I bought this bag for the first time almost 10 years ago, and spent about 5-6 of those years really putting this thing through its paces. I lived and worked at sea for a couple years, and backpacked through a few countries with it. It eventually became not-so-water-proof and died its final death when an overzealous airline baggage worker ripped an arm off. I'd been so pleased with the bag for so long that I decided to purchase the same one again.Sadly, the new bag lacks the internal zipper compartment (where I kept my dive cards, money, and anything else I needed to keep really handy). It's missing the bungy net on the front (where I'd tie my wet things post-dive). There's only has a single netted side pocket (good for sandals, since most boats I've lived on are shoeless, also holds water bottles). And to prep the bag for flights, I used to roll the flap down but then clip the top down to the sides - the new bag only allows you to clip the rolled flaps together. This is fine if I'm the only one carrying it, but it creates a tempting handle shape for airline workers that makes me a little nervous. I suspect if I use it as checked baggage, it's only a matter of time before the plastic clasp gives way from being carried and chucked around by the top.Other than that, so far so good. I've taken it on one short sailing and diving trip and everything stayed dry. We'll see how it holds up over time. Hopefully it's still as high-quality as the original even if it lacks a few of the convenience features I'd grown accustomed to. Since the old one held up so well over time and abuse, I'm sticking with 4/5 stars. Especially when you take into account the price - which is very reasonable for this type and quality of equipment.

Good quality; nice and roomy
Lots of space for our needs. The construction is solid, the bag stays dry, and the straps are comfortable; we'll see how it stands up to daily use. I have a smaller Overboard dry bag that has held up well, after having tried many other brands that fall apart after about a year -- hoping for more life out of this one.

Sweet freedom to carry without worry
Everything stayed safe and dry. I read a lot of people complain about lack of pockets but if your a packer you have all your gear sorted in bags and boxers the way you like. I would say this is for serious outdoor day venture types that want to keep what they need dry. A dry bag that is also a back pack. I use on my fire roads treks.

Love it.
Love it, used it in Montana kayaking and hiking. Fits my Nikon D50 with 70x300mm lens and 18x55mm lens. Also my Nikon P610 and a towel. Plenty of room easy to carry. Haven't submersed it in water to see if it's waterproof. But if you properly allow enough room at the top to roll it and seal it I see no reason why it wouldn't keep contents dry.

Good dry backpack, but with reservations...
Generally a good dry bag/backpack. However after just one week long river rafting trip one of the d-rings on the front came off. The only thing I clipped to it was a sunglass case so a bit disappointing - at least the case was empty at the time. For this price, I feel like it should either have robust features (like d-rings) or they should be intentionally left off. It may have been the way the d-ring loop was attached in manufacturing because it looks like it just came apart (rather than torn material).

good: really protect your items from water and snow
good: really protect your items from water and snow, I'm very comfortable to use it while snowboarding.bad: Hard to organise items inside because it doesn't have any separate slot, I have to take a few second for just finding one little thing, everything will be messy in this bag.

got this for my boyfriend and he really likes it. It's big enough to fit a lot of things, is waterproof, but the issue i find with it is the lack of compartments within the bag itself.

Great backpack, just big enough and build quality is top notch. Performed well in rain but have and not tested in/under white water. Watch the Yeti folks take a great product like this and add a hundred $ or so to price keep their mega gross profits up.

The Bottomless bag!
I recently switched to this backpack after using a North face Surge backpack that I bought in August 2016. That bag was fine for dry days but when it rained it did let in water which was a poor design for a laptop back. So after a colleague recommended an Overboard bag I decided to give it a go.I travel daily by train which means I spend a lot of time walking too and from train stations. The rain seems to be getting heavier and heavier these days so I needed a bag that would put up with the harsh weather. The bag I was using previously was a 30L but I was amazed at just how much more space I have in this bag, Its like Mary Poppins bag. I have been able to merge my two bags down to this one bag (Gym duffle and laptop backpack) and I still have room. There are no compartments inside this bag its literally just a sack so if you have anything you want to keep handy its probably worth buying a little neoprene case for them, for example keys. You can buy an Overboard laptop insert for about £15 but I am just using an AmazonBasics neoprene laptop sleeve for £8.An example of what I am able to carry in this bag:1x pair of running trainers1x large microfibre towel1x pair of shorts1x T-Shirt1x pair of socks & boxers1x MacBook Air 13" in neoprene sleeve1x laptop charger1x large sports bottle1x large lunch box1x small case that holds keys, wallet, usb keys etc1x Coat....There is still room in the bag!Reluctantly I did drop my bag into a bath full of water to test it and it did keep everything dry.

Great Quailty Bag
This is one impressive bag! If you’re looking for a rucksack with handy zipped compartments and inner pockets - this isn’t it. However this is a an exceptionally high quality waterproof bag and very comfortable to wear. I bought a thirty litre model and use for my daily cycle to the station. It will swallow a two piece suit, shirt, shoes, laptop, toiletry bag and my lunch without a problem. Thinking of getting a twenty litre version in another colour for the weekend. Recommended!

Read earlier reviews before buying this and some were not favourable - however, I liked the look of it and considered that if it fell apart as others had suggested (holes etc) then I would be contacting the seller (obviously considering wear and tear and length of ownership) But - looking at the bag itself it appears at first glance to be of excellent quality - a very practical design and perfect choice for using on a motorcycle due to it's hi viz colour on the back panel. Wearing a hi viz jacket then covering it with a rucksack defeats the objective of being seen on the road!!! I will come back and give a longer term review after using for a reasonable length of time but I am at this stage very happy with the bag - hope this helps

Good Product But Poor Engineering Design
The overall waterproofing is of good quality, however, the inner part of the backpack in question in void of any pockets, or compartments making an absolute nightmare to get anything out. Firstly, taking gear, especially costly equipment, in an pile can cause damage to said items and secondly it is very frustrating to have to rummage inside the pack to find what you are looking for. Whereas the product may be fit for water sports, it is not fit for purpose for storing items in a tidy and safe fashion. Sorry guys, in today's epoch of production and design, you have fallen far short of my expectations hence the 1 star review. You could do more with incorporating pockets, chambers and other within the deign itself, rather than having to have to purchase, in other words, up-selling, a fit in, Velcro pocket which is, among other things, of extremely poor quality. Devil is in the details they say.

The back padding is good but not amazing
6 NOVEMBER 2019 -UPDATE THE SHOULDER HANDLE STITCHING HAS COME LOOSE AND THE BAG NEEDS TO BE REPLACED.This is my second bag of this brand. As a cyclist who commutes to work this provides 100% water protection for your contents. You can carry a huge volume of items (like a magical bag) and is robust to meet the daily rigors. The back padding is good but not amazing. I would highly recommend.
