I've had yorkies for over thirty years and tried many, many different kinds of rubber bands to hold up their top-knots. These are perfect. They hold the top-knot tightly, but not too tightly as to break hair. They are easy to work with, with just two twists required to keep the hair up well (maybe a bit snug to twist, but not hard). They stay in well, and are affordable.

I needed something small for an art project and this worked great.

Got this container and split them all up. Pretty good bands. They aren’t super thick and stretchy enough that I loop it twice before using it on my two year old hair. She has thin hair so this works best for me. But it hasn’t snapped in me at all like some others have. The little hook to cut them out is good. Took me a few times to get the hang of it. I think I cut a few strands of hair the first few times but I figured out how to maneuver it better. Overall, satisfied with this.

Researching which ponytail holders were best for my yorkie, I came across a few forums where other dog owners claimed orthodontic bands worked really well for their dogs’ top knots. Tired of rubber bands ripping my yorkie’s hair or other ponytail holders leaving her a bald spot, I decided to give these a try.I absolutely recommend! Very stretchy without breaking. Tying twice is enough to hold her top knot. Easy removal AND reusable, if needed. Definitely sticking with these for her hair.

We purchased the same size and elasticity that our orthodontia gave my son. However, these were different sizes still so I don’t trust that we’re getting what we actually need. We did not use them.

Good, but lose their elastcity after a few hours, so you need to change them more often than latex elastics.
