Mary Kay Andrew's At Her Best
One of my favorite authors anyway, Andrew's has outdone herself in this novel. I hope that this will be the beginning of a series because the characters are so compelling that I want more.I was up until three in the morning in order to finish this book because I was unable to put the book down until I finished it. Bravo!

Publisher published this book out of order
I had been waiting to read “Save the Date” it wasn’t out yet. So the previous book I read was “The High Tide Club”. I love Mary Kay Andrews’ writing. But my OCD makes me like to read books in order when one leads a character along. Wonderful read never a disappointing.

Moved at a good, realistic pace.
This was a fine piece of Chick Lit from MKA. She obviously did lots of research with regard to old home restoration, such as tools needed, supplies, and materials. I felt like I was right there in that old barn when they put on the new metal roof and the old floor boards were stained and sanded. To see a wedding take place there was a wedding planner's delight. MKA didn't leave out one details, and her characters were real, fleshed out, and her editor did a wonderful job with adjustments and punctuation. In other words, I read it all in one day because I couldn't NOT do that, and today I have severe eye strain! LOL Seriously. Worth it, though. It was a fun read with a beautiful ending.

Romance Prevails - How Shocking! Yet Wonderful...
What can one say? This newest by Mary Kay Andrews (pen name) delivers romance and fun for perfect summer reading pleasure. Having read most of her books, Save The Date doesn't disappoint. Our main character, Cara, is newly divorced from a marriage that brought her south to Savannah and an outsider in a town with well entrenched social circles. She is struggling to get a flower shop she 'inherited' into the black, and along the way has to deal with the types of catastrophes that small businesses face, but does it with aplomb. Naturally, she meets a man under unfavorable circumstances that are bristly and provide the foundation for the romantic tension that we love from MKA. Cara's life goes through twists and turns to keep the reader engaged and the characters are fun to hang around with - as always, the pages fly by and before you know it, you're anxiously awaiting MKA's next book.

More Romance Novel than Andrews' Usual Fare
If you are looking for a true southern modern romance novel this one is it. However, I was a little disappointed as I have read her other books with such delight. I had anticipated reading this book for a while. Perhaps the anticipation increased my expectations. However, it is more likely that her previous books have set the bar high and this book just wasn't quite as good. If you haven't read any of her books, read this one first and then go back and read some of her previous books. I found them to be laugh aloud funny. However, this one was okay but certainly nothing to amuse me like her other books. Sometimes deadlines and ideas just don't coincide! Read it but don't expect any more than a romance from it. Hopefully Mary Kay Andrews will return to her better side in her next work. I still admire her and hope for the best in her next novel.

Good summer read
I love Mary Kay Andrews and this book was enjoyable. That said, I don't think this was her very best book. Cara was a good, responsible character but I wanted her to "let loose" a little more. I loved Bert and would like to have heard more from him.I also liked Jack quite a lot BUT his character didn't ring true. He is portrayed as intelligent, but some of the things he does (the cash in the sock drawer, the lack of abilities in dealing with his old live-in, and his deal for the shop) don't follow through for me.I loved the low-country setting and the florist/wedding planner plot was interesting and brought lots of characters into play. This book is a good summer read. Hopefully the next MKA book will be more like Little Bitty Lies, which is my favorite!

Such an exciting read!
From the first word to the last, this is one of the best Mary Kay Andrews’ novels. It is a fun read and Mary Kay is knowledgeable about plants and flowers. She weaves a tale of love and loss, happiness and sadness and delight and stress.Enjoy!

Delightful #RomCom
I read this last year and downloaded the audio this summer for my road trip. Wish someone would turn this into a movie. Smart, fun, moving...LOVED IT! Recommended it, too, several times.

I meant to read this over a longer period of time to save it, but enjoyed it so much I had to whip right through it. Great story telling.
