Worked once I followed the instructions.
I purchased this TrekPow battery jumper to jump-start my lawnmower, but I also wanted a dual purpose battery pack to charge devices on camping trips. It comes in a very nice carrying case complete with scratch-preventing middle flap and sturdy, cushioned foam insert that perfectly fits the device. All of the included cables can be stored in the top portion of the clamshell. I was very surprised at the quality of the case. The device comes with a thick instruction booklet in multiple languages, but there are really only 9 pages in English. It explains how to attach the jumper cables, read the LED readouts (yes, multiple, because there is one LED screen on the battery pack and yet another on the base of the detachable jumper cables themselves that tells you the connected battery's voltage), how to charge the battery, and how to turn it on and off, which is as simple as pressing the button or holding it. There are two USB charging ports, an LED flashlight, and charging ports for an optional AC power in. I was able to use the included cable to charge the battery pack, jump start my mower following the directions, then charge my Apple Watch using the watch's charger. That took me down to 93% battery life, which is great.Overall, this product exceeded my expectations in terms of quality of materials and performance. I highly recommend it both as an emergency jump-starter and as a portable battery pack. Using it as both means I'm more likely to have it charged when I need it. 5/5 stars

Wonderful insurance for car (or motorcycle) battery failure
I use this for a car and motorcycle. If I use the kill switch on the motorcycle instead of turning the key off, inevitably the battery won't start the bike the next day. It's small enough to fit in a backpack or in a motorcycle bag. Charges easily with any USB charger, and tells you what percentage charged it is.Starting the motorcycle quickly pulled about 10% of the total charge, so you would be limited by the number of starts. For a ford taurus, it went from 100% to 40% charge after attempting to start. So, just know you're not going to getmore than about two starts before needing to charge the battery again.Overall, I'm pleased with the device, and would buy again. The flashlight and charging ports are definite bonuses.

Good features, good price...
This is a 1200 amp portable lithium ion powered jump starter. That's the type of jump starter you charge, like a portable power pack, and leave in your car for an emergency. Not having had a dead battery yet, I can't tell you much about the experience of using this thing. And honestly, having bought it for my wife's car, I may never use it myself. But because it's for use in a car which I don't drive, I'm appreciative of several features in this jump pack which I probably don't need as much as others in my family. When the cable clamps are initially attached to the car battery an LCD display on the cable unit lights and beeps to warn of wrong polarity prior to connecting the cables to the jump starter battery to prevent battery explosions and/or damage to the jump starter. The unit is well built, with powerful and substantial alligator clips and jump cables. The battery power should be sufficient for several quick jumps of a large engine, though you'll need to make sure the jump start battery remains fully charged by taking it from the car and recharging with an included USB charge cable once a quarter, or so. You will need your own charger to connect to the device's USB-C to USB-A charging cable. It's also possible to charge personal electronic devices from the jump starter in a pinch. I say in a pinch because the unit is built for using to jump cars, and while it can be used for charging a phone, there are cheaper and better devices for phones. Why jeopardize the battery's ability to jump your car by depleting it to charge a phone? Leave it charged in your trunk in case you need it for your car. This is a good little item, well made and well presented. Yet I hope it's a long time before we have to use it for its primary purpose....

There’s no reason not to buy this. It really works.
I have been skeptical of these things for years, but I have also been wanting one because it would be a lifesaver if I needed it, and they’re much smaller than the traditional large booster packs with the big clips and handle on it.I have a car that’s been sitting not being driven and the battery won’t hold a charge which gave me the perfect excuse to buy this and test it out.To move the car once before, I hooked up the jumper cables to my other car and I had to let it sit and charge for almost an hour before the dead car would start.Dead car sat another 2 weeks, I bought this box, hooked it up, and it started instantly. I couldn’t believe it.I’m sure all of these are pretty much the same, but I chose this one because of the price (Amazon had a discount on it so it was $50), it has a peak output of 1200 amps, flashlight on the end of it (some have it on the top), 2 USB ports that can do different voltages, and a 12V/10A DC output that accepts a common connector size - 5.5 x 2.5 I believe.
