How to Train Your Dragon: A Family Adventure with a Side of Giggles!
I just finished watching How to Train Your Dragon with my 6-year-old, and let me tell you, it was a roaring success! We had such a great time that I’m pretty sure we bonded over our mutual desire to have a pet dragon. Who wouldn’t want a fire-breathing buddy to help with the chores, right? From the moment Toothless took flight, my kiddo was glued to the screen, eyes wide like a kid in a candy store. I, on the other hand, was trying to explain to my child why we can’t just adopt a dragon from the nearest pet store (“No, sweetie, they don't come in a cute little box!”).The animation is stunning, and the story is so engaging that I found myself tearing up during the touching moments. Not to mention, the humor is top-notch! I laughed harder than I have at a comedy show, especially when Toothless tried to act all tough but ended up being adorably clumsy. It’s like watching my cat try to catch a laser pointer — hilariously chaotic! In conclusion, How to Train Your Dragon is an epic adventure that entertained both the kid and the slightly awkward adult. If you’re looking for a movie that’ll have you both laughing and possibly planning your future dragon-owning dreams, look no further. Just remember to have some dragon-sized snacks on hand — you’ll need them for the epic flight scenes!

I would watch this movie a hundred times. Initially I didn't want to watch animated movies. This series drew me in. It’s funny, engaging, visually appealing. I laughed. I cried. Shared the experience with a friend. Same comments from her.Every time I watch it I catch something I didn’t see before. Love it, love it, love it.

Not quite as good as 1 and 2, but worth a watch!
Fitting finale to the trilogy. Has the same spirit and energy as the first two, which makes for an enjoyable watch. It's hard to capture the whimsy and adventure of the first films as well and this definitely struggles in that regard, but if you enjoyed the first two you'll enjoy the third.

And so the saga ends (probably only for now)
I’m not the biggest fan of this computer-animated How to Train Your Dragon saga. But the children have a very different opinion. This 3rd film, in what has become a franchise, was eagerly anticipated by them after they had been sucked into the TV series since the previous instalment, from over 4 years ago.. As a cartoon sequel you would expect the movie to heavily appeal to young viewer’s common familiarity with the How to Train Your Dragon concept. The storyline and events in many aspects indeed follow the same trusted path as the previous instalments. However there is more character development here. And the movie feels reasonably fresh. Frankly, I found it a pleasure to watch along with the children. Moreover, quite unusual for a sequel in a successful franchise, this last part of the trilogy seems to end in a conclusive manner. We get some more background on the key character, Hiccup we learn how he is raised by his father Stoick the Vast, cheifman of Berk, ever sad after losing his wife. Hiccup is also disabled, but this is dealt with in a subtle, matter of fact manner. In fact Hiccup now, next to being a dragon expert and has a leadership role, succeeding his father. And he has to search for the secret ancestral homeland of the Dragons, as the title suggests. Quite a few big actors have small funny roles and one of my favourite actors F Murray Abraham, voices the pretty disturbing bad guy.The animation is brilliant. The dragons have been animated with a lot of detail and the overall animation seems to have seen an improvement over the past 2 movies. The 3D version we ordered really puts you on the back of a dragon racing through the sky across magnificent Viking worlds. It draws you into with magnificent deep-coloured scenes and pastel-coloured vista’s of the hidden dragon homelands. And I must say I loved the music.Quite satisfying.
