I received the item pretty quick, and it was easy to assemble. But the problem is one of the long pieces is crooked/curved (or flat when lay it on a flat surface). This makes the assembled hanger does not stand sturdy at all. I have requested a replacement. Will update when the replacement is received.***Update: I received the replacement within one week, and the new item is in good shape and the assembled piece looks good.

First of all the pieces look very nice out of the box - beautiful finish. First difficulty is that the tenons do not fit into the mortices - too tight. This is remedied with a little sanding and so far so good. But when assembly is started it becomes very apparent that some of the tenons are not properly aligned. Final assembly stages are difficult due ti misalignment and the rack is quite crooked when assembled. In fact one of the vertical pieces actually fractured when the top piece was put on because the top and bottom tenons are not properly aligned - resulting in considerable torque in the assembled piece -- enough torque that the vertical piece actually broke. The stand did not fully fall apart so it should still be of some practical if not aesthetic use? Not so! The four contact points on the bottom two pieces are so badly misaligned that all four contact points do not touch a flat surface (a full 1/4" gap on one) the rack will not stand up straight and wobbles significantly. Attempts to adjust the assembly were unsuccessful because the joints are so tight and badly misaligned that there is no play for adjusting the assembly. I bought this because it was cheap, not realizing that it was also pure junk. And it's not worth my time and gas to take it to the UPS store to return.

This is a beautiful brush stand. It's easy to assemble and sturdy and the design is simple and elegant, but it stinks. Literally. It's been doused in insecticide or some other nasty chemical. I can't bring it in the house. It's on the back porch off-gassing. Maybe I'll be able to use it in a few months.

Super easy to assemble, clear instructions included. Holds all my Chinese brushes, and even a few hake brushes—the pegs fit the holes in the brush handles. Ten pegs and you can easily hang multiple brushes on each. Ideal for storing these brushes. I love that it doesn’t take up too much space on my painting table. Tall enough for my longer brushes. Dimensions as advertised.

Came broken.

Sturdy rack to hold calligraphy brushes. Does not feel or look cheap. Utilitarian and doesn’t overshadow the beauty of the pens. Good buy.

I searched a long time and landed on this...its just beautiful. It has a good height to accommodate all my brushes. Great purchase, would make a great gift.

Wasn’t difficult to assemble. Will comment you may need a rubber mallet to help putting it together. Other than that does what’s expect and looks nice on the shelve. Worth the cost.
