My son just turned 6 but wears 7-8 clothing in most brands. He weighs a little over 60 lbs, but isn't over weight for his height. He looks like a little linebacker. This fits him snug with not much room to grow. I would imagine if your kid is in the 50lbs range, this thing would fit him/her perfect. Even though it's a little snug, it's completely adjustable and is easy to take on and off, even if he has his helmet on. There's a shoulder strap that can be used in the event you want to take the armor off but leave the helmet on.

Great Coverage Protector
Really like the coverage this protector give my 8year old. One part is dislike is the shoulder guards, they feel a little flimsy- and i can see the potential of having to resew them on after a years use. Overall the protector is very sturdy, and fits a larger kid that is 8 years old great.

great fit for my 9 year old
we first purchased the peewee size it was way too small for my 9 year old son. I exchanged it for this one and fits him perfect. He is an average 9 year old boy.

Put this on your kid to make your wife happy when you go atv riding. Kinda expensive but seems to be well made
