Seven years ago, I purchased a small Honeywell air purifier. I recently decided to upgrade it to a model with better filtration. I purchased this one after looking at the reviews.The filter is easy to install. Take it out of its packaging, insert it underneath and the purifier's bottom lid rotates closed. The controls are extremely simple. Press the Ionizer button to turn the ionizing function on and off, press the power button once to turn it on, tap it to change the fan speed. Hold the power button down for 5 seconds to turn it off.Even with my Honeywell running, and with dusting weekly and vacuuming several times a week, I routinely woke up with sniffles probably from low grade allergies, My first night with this one, which has better than True HEPA filtration, I had no sniffles and slept more deeply. It also eliminates any scents. For the quality of filtration and size of the room it will do, it is very inexpensive. It is also pretty small and very lightweight if you need to move it between rooms.Running the purifier takes at most 60 watts of energy (with the fan on High). Running it on Medium takes around 23 watts of energy, and the filter itself (which will run you around $50 or so) will last for around 2000 hours of operation. The purifier itself will tell you when the filter needs replacement.I liked it so much I bought another one 3 days later for the living room. If you are suffering from allergies, or want to reduce the odds of your getting sick (since this medical grade filtration removes all bacteria from the air as well as some viruses), this is worth every penny.

So far so good! It is definitely making a difference in our air quality. We remodeled our old house so we are using this to help get rid of any remaining construction and/demolition dust and it seems to be making a difference!Edit. We have used the purifier almost 24/7 since the beginning of September and just now replaced the filter (November). This is the difference in the new filter to the one we took out. It is DEFINITELY doing some good!! I do believe it got more dust in it when we had to start running our heat all the time.

I have a dopey dog. He likes to get sprayed in the face by skunks. Unfortunately, he got sprayed again earlier this week. My house usually will smell like skunk for a few weeks despite my best efforts to get rid of it. I've tried everything, including other air filters/purifiers. This one helped deodorize the house considerably (in addition to intense cleaning). I'm thoroughly impressed. It did a better job then other air filters I've used and that are 3x the size. Would buy another for other rooms in the house.

I was so impressed with the Medify MA-18, that I NEEDED to buy another! The first Medify unit I placed in my dad's room to remove the musty smell of our old house... still AMAZING! I purchased the second for my daughter's room to help clean the air of the dust & airborne particles that contribute to her allergies. Not only am I thankful for this powerful air purifier, but also for its simple elegant design.

We found the unit to be quiet which is important. We got it because our 2 rescued greyhounds have been having respiratory issues since we moved to AZ. There is a large amount of pollen and dust due to no rains this year. We got this to see if it would help relieve their breathing problems. So far . . . so good. Very pleased. Can't hurt us either.

It's awesome!!! I just received this unit a few days ago, and wanted to quickly write a review before it slipped my mind. I was immediately impressed by it's looks, size, and genuine product design. This unit seems very durable, and NOT made from cheap plastics. I like the fact that it has multiple speeds, and an ionizer that you can control. I immediately put it to use and challenged it with a smelly situation to tackle in my kitchen/laundry room. I can say with confidence that it does a wonderful job. This device quickly neutralized two tough odors in which many people deal with on a daily basis.....cat litter box and fried foods. You would have never known that either of these potent smells were prevalent a few hours earlier. I'm thinking of buying one for my dad's house because he has a zoo of animals and I hate going over there and smelling funky when I leave. I'm looking forward to seeing how it tackles typical allergens that are always getting into our home.GREAT purchase and you can't find a better choice for the money!

Super quiet, works great. Bought this to clear a stuffy room where the dogs spend a lot of time. Cleared the stuffiness almost completely. Takes the dog odor out of the air. The dog beds still smell like dogs, but the odor doesn't travel to other parts of the house now. Very pleased.

Awesome product. This unit is perfect for my studio apartment. I have been using it for about a week now and I definitely notice the difference. This is the 3rd air purifier that I have ordered and is the best one yet. Ill probably be getting another one soon for my office.
