Please do not buy this product. I stuck it on the top of our microwave and left it there and when I went to warm something it started sparking so I turned it off. It worried me but I thought maybe it was something wrong with my microwave. Well, I did the same thing again leaving it stuck to the top while I warmed something and then I turned to talk to my sister in law and then all of a sudden she shouting about the microwave so I turned and looked and there was a fire in the microwave. I quickly opened the door and there was smoke and soot, seriously. This thing is dangerous and they need to stop selling it. If I had stepped away for 1 minute my kitchen would have been on fire. Amazon should discontinue this product before something really bad happens

The strength of the magnets is horrible. It barely held to the inside top of the microwave. I tried putting it on the side outside of the microwave, but it slide down and fell off. Now I’m 10 days past my return period and I noticed sparks inside the lid while the microwave was going. My husband said he briefly saw sparks a few weeks back but wasn’t sure what it was. Now we know. I attached a picture where the sparks melted the plastic and created a disgusting smell in my house.I will say however that the size is good.

I love this cover because I don’t have to clean my microwave every time I want to use it. If my food splatters this cover on the in side, then I simply rinse with water ( sometimes I have to wash with dish soap if someone didn’t rinse it last time it was used.) I did have a different one for a year and one day the magnet arced and melted, so had to buy this one. Same design and very similar looking magnets. Hope this one doesn’t do that!

Beware!!! I’ve had this a few months and only used it a 4-5 times. Yesterday I accidentally turned on the microwave with this cover upside down (the magnetic part doesn’t work with the top of my microwave) inside and it sparked. Today I grabbed this one (it was the first I saw). Within seconds of being in the microwave there was a flame coming from it. I’m glad I was standing in front of the microwave or I could have had a huge disaster on my hands.

Everyone thought I was crazy for buying a cover with magnets, but it was SO worth it! I was tired of the cover always being in the way when I went to place my food in the microwave. And if it wasn't in my way, that meant it was sitting on the counter or on top of the stove - cluttering up the kitchen. This is so awesome because it stays hidden away in the microwave, but it's NEVER IN THE WAY! It also rinses super easily when food splatters on it. I love it!

This thing is genius. I wish I had known this existed years ago, it would have saved me a lot of hollering at my kids and my ex. Maybe this would have even kept him from being my ex! I jest, of course, it would have taken way more than a clean microwave. But perhaps you, dear reader, don't have quite as terrible a significant other as I did, and in that case, you should buy this inexpensive contraption to keep your microwave clean and save your relationship. And if your kids continually spatter tomato soup into every single crevice in your microwave, BUY THIS. It might well save them, and you.

Magnets to the top of the microwave no issue. Covers food and prevents spills (I can tell because it's been getting dirty instead :-P). Easy enough to clean. As a forewarning though this won't help with bowls as it doesn't have enough vertical clearance. Appreciate the vents on top so it doesn't get too hot after microwaving something.
