Solid, well machined American Made tool.
This set came in a grey case. USA made, durable and effective. Easy to use, well machined, tool truck quality without the price. Glad I bought it, service a decent amount of domestic vehicles, and this kit covers most. Impact rated, but I really haven't had much of an opportunity to put that to the test. I recommend that any service tech/ serious car guy buy this set. It pays it self off the first time

USA made, works exactly as advertised.
I'm not a career mechanic but a wise man once said "A thrifty man doesn't buy cheap tools". I needed to adjust the position of my Duramax's power steering pulley to eliminate belt squeak. This tool did the job perfectly and I'll have it for the rest of my life. I looked at the Made in China versions and they are only marginally cheaper than this one which has "Made in USA" printed on the excellent quality molded plastic case. I love Lang tools and this is another excellent addition to my toolbox.

Made in the USA ~ High Quality!
Used this on a 1993 Ford F-150 in line six, with about 300K miles on it. We jury rigged the wrenches to get it off. My set was made in the USA, if it was not, you could NOT jury rig it, because chi-com crap would break...! It worked great and saved us several hundred + dollars from talking it to the shop!. I have not done this repair in well over twenty years, I had to call a friend who helped me. Great Quality - Thank you!

Pulley Puller works great!
The Kastar 5238 power steering pump puller works as described. Made in the USA, this appears to be the same item another retailer sells for well over 100$. Make sure you read all directions before using tool to make sure everything is done correctly and safely.Bought and sold from Amazon, ordered at a great price and was shipped quickly.Used for a Ford engine.Took 5 minutes to setup tool and remove pulley from pump, another 5 to install. (by hand) Do not need to use impact. One thing you need to be aware of is if you do not sit the tool properly on the pulley hub, you will end up pulling and pushing down on the hub.The instructions are very clear, pictures show the proper puller and installer setups. All pieces fit well in the case. One downside is after using the remover, one of the parts started to show wear, the small black adapter in the middle of the picture, the smaller side started to mushroom, a very minor problem. And the case I received was grey, not red as indicated in the pictures.Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase, the value, the ease of the job because the tool fits and comes with what you need to complete the job.

Well worth the cost
Working in the Automotive industry for 6 years I can say I'm often dismayed at the insane cost of tools. I've used numerous pulley pullers in the past, often without results I am impressed with, but this puller's ease of use, durability, and how well it works have proven to be unmatched. The cost is 1/5 of a comparable puller off a tool truck, and it's better. I can hardly believe it.

Well made but missing the 2 washers for the set
This kit arrived as brand new with no evidence as ever being opened or used.I discovered that the two washers were not in the kit. No big deal, went to Lowes Home Improvement and got a two pack of SAE 5/8" washers (Hillman # 880261) which matches up perfectly.Tool came packaged as Lang which is now the new name for Kastar. This USA made tool is very well made and is sold by the tool trucks for a lot more $$$$$.Highly recommended.

Quality pulley
Rented the Advance auto parts pulley and it was a pile of garbage that had stripped threads etc. Had to rig the AAP rental to fonosh the job. Wound up the new pump (rebuild) had a leak, and decided I was just going to purchase a pulley. This pulley work perfect on my 96z71. Perfect setup and only $20!

Better than renting a puller from the auto parts store or mechanic.
Bought this to replace the power steering pump on my 96 Tahoe. I've done this project a few times with cheaper tools and this is more durable than rental tools or cheaper versions. I took the recommendation of other reviewers and made sure I used plenty of grease and/or antisez on all the threads to prevent binding during usage. It comes with multiple threaded sections for different manufactures, ford, chevy, universal fittings. This is a professional grade Kastar brand tool and I recommend it. It will last you many years if used and maintained properly.

The quality speaks for itself
I needed a power steering pulley tool for home use since the other one is in my workplace. It came in the mail so fast, it was scary (I haven't even used up the 30-day trial period of Amazon Prime). The quality of the tool is absolutely spot-on. It's all you ever needed if you need something to remove and install power steering pulleys.
