Beware the warranty support
In 3 months I've tried the Hoover Spinscrub, and both of the Bissell hard floor cleaners. This is BY FAR the best of the four. Pros: Easy to clean - front lip of the cleaning head comes off, and the entire floor assembly easily disconnects, so you can rinse the whole thing out. Cleans well - I've used this on tile, hardwood, and rubber mats (I train dogs), and it has done exceeding well on all of them. Keep in mind that if something is really sticky, you're going to have to scrape it off first, but that has been the case with ALL of the cleaners I've tried. Suction to pull the water off the floor is superior. While there's always a little water left, everything was dry within 10 minutes. Important when you have puppies running about. Longer extension cord - I have an open floor plan, and don't have to reconnect to a new outlet every 8 feet. Makes cleaning faster. Uses a bit more solution to clean, but doesn't leave suds behind. Solution and dirty water tanks are a good size, and SO much easier to clean!! Cons - Machine is a bit heavier than some - but this isn't a major deterrent for me. The weight difference is negligible. The trigger for the solution is stiff. I recommend only holding it down for shorter periods, to give your hands a bit of a rest, and only use it on cleaning strokes. My biggest complaint..... Oreck does not honor the 3 year warranty, unless you purchase from them. Which is extremely unfortunate. Amazon, or it's sellers need to come to an agreement. The additional coverage offered via Amazon is INCLUDED, when purchased through Oreck, with NO additional cost. I've returned this item - but ONLY because of the warranty issues. I bought the same exact system through Oreck, and will keep using the device - regularly.

Great product for the price.
Great product for the price. (August 2018; 4 stars) (January 2019; upgraded to 5 stars) My machine is still working. I use it every day to clean up dog pee from my tile floor and once every weekend to clean the entire hard floor which is more than half my house. When this one breaks, I will most definitely buy another. My only issue is I paid 1 price, now the machine is considerably more, as in more than a 50% increase. I will cross that bridge when I come to it. As far as the machine, I have had 5 other name brand machines and they break within a couple of months. I bought this one because it was cheap and I figured if it lasted a few months and I had to buy another, no worries, I got my money's worth. This little machine has lasted way longer than its competitors that ranged in price from $150 to $250. Little Oreck, you have my vote. Maybe it's a fluke that I got the one good one out of the bunch of rotten apples. I will count my lucky stars. (July 2019) still going strong, just like the day I pulled it out of the box. Still not happy with the huge price increase, but I don't need a new one yet.

Does not work like advertised
The item is very simple to put together however it does not work as described. I owned a floormate for almost 2 years and when it died I opted to purchase the Oreck hard floor cleaner. The reviews were not that good but I thought why not give it a chance. It is awful. Leaks water constantly, poor suction and the scrub brushes do not always spin. Returned the item immediately and would advise others to look elsewhere for a floor cleaner because this one will not fit the bill.

Great for older ppl but not for really dirty floors
This is a great Machine for just a quick clean, I would not recommend this to deep clean or for hard stains . This machine is for somebody who already keeps their floor very clean.. itโs just for maintaining your floor. Are use this machine for my kitchen floor once to twice a week just to keep the light dusting of dirt that comes in instead of having to get on my hands and knees it does save my back.

Works as advertised
I would give this 5 stars but nothing in life is perfect. I don't know what all the negative reviews are about. This does what it's supposed to. I have had numerous Hoover Floor Mates in the past. All their motors burned out within about a year. When I saw this Oreck, I thought it might be more durable. I just used this and it works great on my ceramic tile floors. The major difference between the Floor Mate and the Oreck is the wash/dry system. With the Floor Mate the brushes spin all the time. It suctions up the cleaning solution on forward and backward passes. The Oreck has a separate wash/dry setting where the brushes stop on the dry setting and you can suction the floor dry. What I did was do a section of the floor on the wash mode, then switch over to the dry mode and get up all the cleaner. On both the Floor Mate and the Oreck, I had to fill the reservoir twice to clean the entire house. I noticed the water in the dirty water holding tank looked the same when I used the Oreck versus the Floor Mate. The Oreck is louder than the Floor Mate, but not much worse than a regular vacuum cleaner. I got it for less than $100. Definitely worth it. I also like that the cleaning head on the Oreck is narrower than the Floor Mate, so I have to move less furniture to clean.
